Expert Analysis
Ed OBrien | Prep Redzone Scout
Big-body combo linemen. McDonogh isn’t afraid to play underclassmen. Plays offensive guard, nose guard, and edge. He’s one of the thicker edge defenders on the board and has the weight already to play inside. Where he plays the most will affect what position he’s ultimately put at in our rankings. Earned some props at one of the PRZ Showcases this past spring. Updated film should help his cause as well.

from McDonogh High School showcased his versatility and toughness at the Prep Redzone MD Exposure Series. The 6-foot-1, 245-pound tackle and defensive end prospect competed with a high motor and physical edge throughout the event. Cohen displayed strong hand usage, leverage, and athleticism during line drills on both sides of the football. His ability to move well for his size and consistently battle in the trenches helped him stand out among the younger prospects in attendance. With his versatility and developing physical tools, Cohen continues to emerge as an intriguing Class of 2029 talent.

Read EvaluationAlan Popadines | Prep Redzone Scout
There’s some good potential in what Cohen brings to the field in terms of his physical stature and ability. He was one of better-looking linemen at the All-Delaware Bowl in terms of weight distribution, length and frame. There’s some technique issues with his kick slides, but he got back quick enough to hold up speed rushers. In the bowl game his team put the beef at the Guard position(s) and went with more agility at the Offensive Tackle position(s), which best-suited Cohen’s skill set at this point.
