Ferguson picked up his latest offer from Temple on March 17th. He has an official visit scheduled for June 5th-7th to Louisville and will be headed to Virginia Tech on June 12th-14th. I got to see “Smooth” at the King of the North 7v7 in Maryland this past weekend. More on that later.

is a big-bodied receiver who is a major red zone threat. He can beat defenders with the quick slant, using his frame to win inside, and he has the height and ball skills to high-point passes over defenders. McDonogh gets the ball in his hands on screen passes, short routes, and deep shots downfield. Most recently, he added offers from James Madison University and University of Delaware, pushing his total to over 10 Division I offers.

Ferguson has the ideal build for an outside receiver and uses his 6’5″ frame well, especially in the red zone. There are a couple of plays in his highlights that showcase his ability to sell routes effectively (stop-and-go and slant routes that turned into touchdowns). Ferguson does a great job of adjusting to off-target throws, showing excellent body control and ball tracking. He’s a big target who can high-point the football. I’m impressed with Ferguson’s ability to make people miss in open space, creating explosive plays. His ability to line up at the X, Z, and slot positions makes him a desirable prospect at the P4 level.

Carlos had a very strong showing in McDonogh’s scrimmage vs. Bishop McNamara. He had 2 jump ball fade/corner end zone catches for TDs. On both catches Carlos was able to track the ball, get himself in position to then leap over the defender and secure the grab getting his toes down.
His hands continue to show improvement and he is developing into a strong pass catcher. Carlos consistently uses his length well to catch away from his body & defender as shown during the scrimmage. Carlos is able to use his long smooth stride to push vertical, create separation, and get good YAC. Carlos currently holds a handful of Power 4 offers. I see him having a big junior year both in yards and TDs & seeing his recruitment continue to rise and offers pour in.
Feels great to be back in action with the guys! Had a solid day today with two tds, 3 receptions, and made plays on defense. It’s only the beginning!https://t.co/g7e5e4hDlZ

Ferguson: Two-Way Threat with Length, Athleticism, and Power Five Attention
Ferguson’s recruitment is heating up in a big way, as the versatile athlete has officially announced his first seven Division I offers, an impressive list that includes Penn State, Georgia Tech, Syracuse, West Virginia, Pitt, Towson, and Delaware State. With Power Five interest already rolling in, Ferguson’s trajectory is clearly trending upward heading into his upperclassman seasons.
Standing at 6-foot-5 with a long, athletic frame, Ferguson creates mismatches on both sides of the ball. As a wide receiver, he uses his height and body control to shield defenders, where he can box out smaller defensive backs and be a deep threat. His catch radius and ability to high-point the ball make him a potential go-to option in contested situations.
Defensively, Ferguson is just as dangerous. His length and closing speed allow him to cover ground quickly, disrupt passing lanes, and track down ball carriers in the open field.
With elite measurables and true two-way impact, Ferguson is quickly emerging as one of the more intriguing prospects in his class—and his offer list is only expected to grow.

Ferguson’s Versatility Makes Him a Rising Star for McDonogh
Ferguson is a true two-way threat for the Eagles, making an impact at both wide receiver and safety. With a big frame and natural athleticism, he finds ways to contribute on both sides of the ball.
On defense, Ferguson stands out with his ability to cover ground quickly, thanks to his long strides and sharp instincts. He’s equally effective coming downhill, making tackles near the line of scrimmage and breaking up throws along the sideline.
With his blend of size, speed, and versatility, Ferguson has the potential to play a major role in McDonogh’s next playoff run. He’s a matchup problem in the making, and a name to keep on your radar.
