For this article, I will focus on the defensive plays at cornerback that I saw in his highlights. Moore is a twitchy, high-upside corner who plays both press-man and zone with clean technique. There’s one play, lined up in quarters, where he reads the in-breaking route, jumps the throw, and intercepts the pass. There are a few plays where he’s lined up in press and stays in phase with the receiver downfield, ensuring that no pass comes his way. I’d like to see more consistent hand use in press, but I’m not sure what he’s being told to do, so I won’t be too picky. Has smooth hips, as seen in one highlight where he executes a perfect speed turn to stay on top of the receiver in the red zone and cut off the receiver running a fade right. Yes, he definitely can make plays at wide receiver. Highest ceiling: definitely cornerback.
