I had an opportunity to get a good look at Jones and see what I had only caught a glimpse of from him in his sophomore-year highlights. His ability to stop and start on a dime with quick acceleration stood out to me during the camp. You saw a little of that in a couple of his plays, as shown in his highlights. Jones displayed his footwork in quickness during the Indy period, cat-and-mouse (running 1v1s vs. linebackers), and passing 1v1s vs. linebackers. Passing 1v1’s weren’t fair; he ran routes like a wide receiver. He has an opportunity to earn more carries this season if he continues to physically develop (by getting stronger, a little bigger, and working on speed).
