Making the most of a reclass season in 2025 and suiting up for the Deptford Spartans 14U team, Davis established himself as unquestionably one of the best pure CBs in the state of New Jersey for this 2030 class. As a result, he was registered for The Rize 2026 but ultimately wasn’t able to attend due to his services being needed on the varsity level. He is a prospect that could see playing time very early in his career for St. Peter’s Prep. Jaylen Davis is a tremendous defensive back out of St. Peter’s Prep in New Jersey. Davis has an absolute impressive ability to make plays. He has great ball skills and ability to lock up wide outs. He is an all-around, quick defensive back to watch against some really, really talented wide receivers at the “RIZE” on June 27th!

is a DB I’ve seen previously, and with his performance on the field last time, he left a lasting impression. What stood out the most was Jaylen’s acceleration when reacting to a wide receiver’s route and his ability to recover if they were able to get by him. My notes do indicate he had troubles keeping up with WRs when they’d break on their routes, but I am sure he has fine tuned his technique and movements since.

may not have taken home MVP honors, but he was right in the mix, competing with the best at the event and easily had my vote. He showed very quick recovery and explosive acceleration, particularly shining once we moved into live action against receivers and quarterbacks. While his shoulders occasionally rose in his backpedal and he had some minor hiccups with change of direction, his overall athleticism and potential are clear, and he’s someone who could develop into a top-tier defensive back with continued growth.
