showed strong lateral quickness in early morning testing on Saturday, and that translated well once the on field drills began. He showed he was able to turn and run with ease, covering a lot of ground quickly. Ethan is the type of backer that can run sideline to sideline and consistently stay involved in the play as runners break to the outside. In coverage, he flashed real pass breakup ability by staying attached to route runners and keying in on their hands at the catch point. That awareness and movement skill set makes him an active presence in space and a tough matchup for backs and tight ends.

Ethan Sekerka is a stud of a linebacker and is a player out of the 2030 class in New Jersey that just simply stands out. He is an outstanding talent that earned his way to the “RIZE”, and I believe you will see just why he received an invitation. He is going to make some noise come June 27th in Jackson, New Jersey at the “RIZE”!

I first saw Ethan at the Jersey Shore AYF 14U Tryouts last fall and I came away impressed by the effort and intensity he brought to the field. He followed that up with an appearance at the Who’s Next event in January, continuing to showcase his potential. Ethan possesses intimidating dimensions and has the frame to become a physically imposing player as he continues to fill out. He showed off his explosiveness with his broad jump number, a clear indicator of the power he brings to the field. With continued development, he has the tools to become a very dangerous prospect.

was another standout Linebacker at the Prep Redzone Next New Jersey Who’s Next Middle School Exposure Camp. Having seen him play in December I had an idea of the skill set Sekerka brought to the table, but my biggest take away from the event on Saturday is where he is physically. He weighed in heavier and with more muscle mass than I thought he had. His frame was among the more impressive in the position group and his full body strength opened my eyes. His 8’7″ in the broad jump was tops for the LB position in the entire camp.
