The heir-apparent has been anointed in St. Peter’s. Quarterback Zack Karelis, who was identified by Prep Redzone Next nearly three years ago, gets his first mention since. Karelis moves in the pocket and resets his feet quickly. This might be his best attribute at quarterback – his ability to move and shuffle in-, out-, and around the pocket. Vertically he gets the ball out about 45 yards and can zip one off of his back foot when necessary. That said, the velocity on his throws seems to be at its highest when he goes way deep and on the move. That withstanding, Karelis still does come across as a classic pocket passer, who can create for himself when he absolutely must – never forcing the issue for himself. With an average release, he loads up a little bit and has a subtle hitch to his wind up and tends to stare down his target at times. Regardless, I really like how the ball looks off of Karelis’ hand.

Now onto Zack Karelis a Quarterback and 3 sport athlete from Summit with a great arm in deep pass scenarios. The 5’8′ Pro Style Quarterback impressed me a lot with his ability to lead his receivers downfield while throwing the deep ball as well as throwing on the run in tight windows on out routes. His film shows his ability to throw both inside and out of the pocket very well for a 2028 Quarterback. Karelis has great vision and is poised in the pocket and in pressured situations. He can get it done by doing the little things right but isn’t afraid to make big plays when he has to. He also plays with the ASG, making the connection with
