To wrap up our top five running backs in the class of 2024 in the state of Kentucky, I have Guy Bailey Guy Bailey 5'9" | 190 lbs | RB Corbin | 2024 State KY . Bailey continued to prove that he is one of the top backs in the state after transferring to Corbin this season. He finished the season with 110 carries for 766 yards and 15 touchdowns in 10 games. Bailey is very shifty in the open field, showing the ability to make cuts on the dime to make defenders miss. He also has the speed to break away on long runs at any given moment. Bailey also played a key role in the passing game this season, catching 18 passes for 237 yards and two touchdowns. Guy doesn’t currently hold any offers but I expect some to come his way soon as he has received some college interest and definitely has the talent to play at the next level.

Recently transferring into the Redhounds’ program for his upcoming senior season, Bailey comes with an impressive two-year resume as the leading offensive and defensive performer at nearby Somerset High School. In his two prior years combined, he gained over 2,500 yards rushing on 349 carries and scored 26 touchdowns while also hauling in 30 receptions for 350 yards and another 2 scores.  Likewise, defensively he completed both his sophomore and junior seasons as the Briar Jumpers’ leading tackler, totaling 97 solo tackles, 51 assists and 18 tackles for loss. Given the wealth of talent on his new squad’s roster, it remains to be seen just how the Corbin staff ultimately will decide to utilize the talents of their new arrival, but considering his durability, explosiveness and competitive demeanor, his versatile skill set is sure to find a number of meaningful ways to contribute.

In his final season at Somerset, Bailey ran the ball 201 times for 1,388 yards and 15 touchdowns. He has incredible speed, simply bursting through the running lane and running right through the defense. Bailey is also very dangerous on sweeps to the outside once he gets around the edge. He has also shown great vision in the open field, showing the ability to make cuts with ease to redirect and make defenders miss. Bailey also caught 18 passes for 216 yards and a touchdown this season while also showing that he is a dangerous returner on special teams, returning two kickoffs for touchdowns. While Bailey doesn’t currently hold any offers, I expect some to come his way going into his senior year as he has the talent to play somewhere at the next level.
