Franklin West Franklin West 6'3" | 310 lbs | OL Corbin | 2024 State KY is another offensive lineman that has been high on my radar for a while now and had a strong senior season. West lined up at left tackle where he was very impressive as a run blocker this season. He showed the ability to explode out of his stance and drive his man down the field to create a running lane for the ball carrier. West plays with a ton of physicality, finishing a lot of blocks quickly with pancakes. He has also proven to be reliable as a pass blocker, showing the ability to mirror opposing pass rushers and keep a strong base, not allowing for much penetration into the pocket. West currently holds multiple Division I offers and I expect him to become a key piece of the offensive line wherever he decides to play at the next level.

Aligning at left tackle for the Redhounds, West is a broad, strong mauler in the inside run game, with the first step, pad level and sheer power to dent essentially any defensive front on the high school level. And while he might project more favorably as an offensive guard at the collegiate level, he displays the quickness, athleticism and blow delivery to serve more than adequately as an edge pass blocker. In particular, he positions himself with leverage of defenders and coupled with aggressive/accurate hand placement, most defenders understandably opt for wider, slower rush lanes. Even when blocking perimeter runs, stretch plays and/or outside zones, his foot placement and speed make him an adept edge blocker and rarely do even the wider defenders manage to cross his face toward the point of attack. Entering his senior season, West is widely considered one of the best offensive line prospects to come from this region in several years, and all indications thus far confirm that current assessment.

Franklin West Franklin West 6'3" | 310 lbs | OL Corbin | 2024 State KY has been high on my radar for a while now and continued to impress during Corbin’s run to the 4A State Championship Game. West was the anchor of Corbin’s offensive line at left tackle and was truly dominant in the run game. He is a true mauler, exploded out of his stance and driving his man down the field. West did a great job of finishing his blocks through the whistle, ending in several pancake blocks. He has also shown that he can get up to the second level and pick up blocks in the open field. West is also very reliable in pass protection, showing solid footwork and the ability to pick up stunts and defeat counter moves. Franklin currently holds offers from Miami (OH) and Eastern Kentucky, and I expect that list to continue to grow as he is a Division I caliber offensive lineman that has the versatility to be moved all over the line if needed.

Franklin West Franklin West 6'3" | 310 lbs | OL Corbin | 2024 State KY is an offensive lineman that I’ve had high on my radar for a while now as he is currently our fourth ranked offensive line prospect in the class of 2024 in Kentucky. West is a very physical offensive lineman that lines up at left tackle and is a mauler in the run game. He explodes out of his stance and keeps his feet running through contact, driving his man down the field until he either hears the whistle or finishes with a pancake block. West also does a good job of getting to the second level and picking up blocks in the open field. In pass protection, he has solid footwork and shows the ability to pick up stunts and defeat counter moves. West has also seen reps at center and guard which will help give him versatility at the next level. Franklin currently holds offers from Eastern Kentucky and Miami (OH), and I expect more to come for him going into his senior year as he has the talent to play at the Division I level.

Franklin West Franklin West 6'3" | 310 lbs | OL Corbin | 2024 State KY is a dominant offensive lineman that has been a huge part of the success for Corbin’s football team. While he has gotten some reps at center as well, West mainly lines up at left tackle. He is a mauler in the run game, driving his man off the line of scrimmage and finishing his blocks through the whistle. West also does a great job of defeating his original assignment and getting through them up to the next level to block a second defender. In pass protection, West has impressive footwork and does a great job of winning the hand fight with his opponent, defeating any type of counter moves. Franklin currently holds offers from Eastern Kentucky and Miami (OH) , and I expect more to come as he has been receiving quite a bit of college interest and I believe he has the talent to play at the Division I level.

Franklin West Franklin West 6'3" | 310 lbs | OL Corbin | 2024 State KY is not only the best offensive lineman in Eastern Kentucky, he is also one of the best in the entire state as we have him as the fourth ranked offensive lineman in the class of 2024. He is my selection for Preseason Offensive Player of the Year in Eastern Kentucky. West currently plays left tackle but has a ton of versatility as he has seen snaps at center and guard as well, and I believe he could thrive on the inside in college. He is super explosive out of his stance driving through his man and finishing his blocks down the field. West plays with the kind of tenacity you want in an offensive lineman as he finishes through the whistle. He also has shown the ability to pull and pick up blocks in space. Franklin currently holds offers from Eastern Kentucky and Miami (OH), and I expect that list to expand as he is a true Division 1 talent.
