Dyson takes a jump in our latest rankings revision and has done well this season, improving his blocking skills and being more physical in that aspect. He shows good ball tracking skills and is strong at the catch point. He’s a player who is best detached from the line but is displaying additional physicality that is needed for the position.
Dyson brings size and physicality, both of which will be needed against an aggressive West defense. Dyson helps balance the spacing of the offense as he can work the intermediate and create stress on the backers and safety.
Dyson adds an extra element to the offense with his length and being detached from the line. His large catch radius will bail out his signal callers and allow them to have a safety blanket.
Richards is in the mold of a modern-day move tight end. He is best detached from the line and used as a big slot. He showcases good movement, gets vertical, and has strong hands. He is set up for a big final year.
Richards climbs 14 spots and comes in as the 78th-ranked prospect in the state. He has good size, footwork, and route-running skills. He is best detached from the line and a receiving threat. He shows strong hands at the catch point.
Richards was a bright spot for American Fork this past season. Richards developed into a reliable passing option and his work down the middle cleared the underneath routes. He has excellent ball skills and showcases strong hands and you can see his versatility when he grows into his frame. Utilized as a big slot caused a lot of havoc on opposing defenses, but he isn’t just a receiving option at the position. Richards shows good technique as a blocker and is a willing and dependable blocker. The switch to Tight End was fruitful and unlocks a whole new avenue for him. With a full offseason and gaining additional weight, Richards is primed for a breakout 2025 season. American Fork loses a lot of production to graduation and Richards should benefit from that.
