Afu is the leading returning rusher, and he showcases good physicality and contact balance in his game. He has good hands out of the backfield and becomes a safety valve for his quarterback. He’s been part of a committee for the past couple of seasons, but has every right to be the lead back this year.

Afu has good size for the position and his frame will allow him to add on additional weight and get to 200 lbs. He showcases good vision and quick through the hole and consistently gets to the second level. Afu is a physical runner with elusiveness and displays good contact balance. He moves well laterally and finds ways to fall forward. Afu shows good hands and can be used in the passing game. He is a willing blocker and understands his assignment in pass protection, which will carry weight with the trust of the coaching staff. Afu is a physical back with the upside of getting regionally recruited.
