Andy Pham | Prep Redzone Scout
Jake has exceptional traits and is an elite prospect. He has a great frame on him, and he’s grown two inches in the past few months and should get to about 6’4-6’5, and he’s put on 15 lbs since the summer, he should get to 180 by next summer. He has elite processing and has an exceptional arm talent. He can make every throw you would want in an elite prospect, and layers his throws with ease. He has pinpoint precision and throws his receivers open. He isn’t afraid to take the deep shot, and he is a signal caller who has good pocket navigation and has a good internal clock. He’ll be an elite prospect and be coveted by elite programs. He’ll be a multi-year Power-Four starter.

Jake looked phenomenal in his debut. It was an effortless performance. He got to his second read with ease and showed off his fantastic arm talent. He layered his throws, took some velocity off when needed and led his receivers open on his throws. He threw for four touchdowns and it could have been more, but the game was out of reach. Jake is an elite talent and will be a national recruit and be widely coveted. His frame, pocket mobility and arm talent reminds me of Josh Allen.

Matsen is simply elite. He will be the next great signal caller in this state. He possesses great size, has a good frame that he needs to continue to fill out, but his arm talent is exceptional; he makes every throw you could ask for. He has good velocity, knows when to take something off of it, throws his receivers open, has great ball placement, and layers his throws. He’ll likely start on Thursday, but he should be dressing on Friday nights, and if the offense struggles and they need a spark, Matsen is the guy. He will be a multi-year Power-Four starter and be a national recruit and a future blue-chipper. Get to know the name.

Matsen is an exceptional talent and the clear top prospect in the 2029 class. He has the prototypical size for the position and should get over 200 lbs and end up around the 6’4 range. Matsen has exceptional arm talent, quick processing, and shows good pocket manipulation and navigation. He can vary his velocity, make the tight window throws, and layer his passes with ease. He will be nationally recruited and will be a top 5 QB nationwide in the class. He is a multi-year Power Four starter with early NFL draft capital in his ceiling.
