played in mainly a backup/JV role as a freshman but together some impressive film with the opportunities he was given. Scott is an accurate passer, showing the ability to fit passes into tight windows where only his intended receivers can catch them. He also has a strong arm which he uses to lead his receivers down the field in the deep passing game. In limited varsity action, he completed 9/13 passes for 66 yards and a touchdown. He has also shown the ability to tuck the ball and use his speed and strength as a ball carrier to pick up big gains on the ground. Cooper will be an intriguing player to keep an eye on as his role in the Pikeville offense grows over the next few years.

has been on my radar since the fall of 2022 and hasn’t left it. While Pikeville High School comes off its “worst” season (7-6-1) in over a decade, the future again looks bright with the freshman group they have coming in–a freshman group that won a State Title a year ago in eighth grade. Scott is the best leader as a QB that I have seen in this Kentucky 2029 class, bar none. Look for him to only improve from his 2,267 yards of total offense and 37 TDs of a year ago.

put together some very impressive eight grade film. Scott throws an impressive deep ball, using his arm strength to stretch the field while also showing the ball placement to put passes where only his intended receiver can catch it. He has also shown the ability to escape pressure while keeping his eyes down the field to find the open receiver on the run. Scott will definitely be a player to watch as he develops in a Pikeville program that has had a history of solid quarterback play over the past several years.

, which was a simple 7-yard pitch and catch. However, the rest of the positive yardage in the game, wouldn’t come so easily.
Rotating a trio of Quarterbacks, Scott was at the helm for his second drive in the second quarter. After throwing only three interceptions all season, Scott was picked off by Tennessee on a 2nd down play and it brought the drive to screeching holt. However, Scott got back on the saddle the very next drive, with Kentucky now trailing 18-0. While the drive didn’t amount to any points for Kentucky, Scott threw four very nice passes on an eight-play drive, with the biggest gainer on a slip screen to RB Javian Meaux for a nice pickup. Despite the moderate success, Kentucky entered half time tailing 18-0.
Come the fourth quarter with Kentucky trailing 24-7, Scott’s toughness and moxie were personified. He (the coaching staff) called his own number on back-to-back plays, and on the back half of the play calls, he reached end zone. The touchdown run was emphatic, as he took some stiff hits from the tough Tennessee defense (as did the other Kentucky QBs on the day) and proceeded to spike the ball after getting up and cutting the TN lead to just 10 points, with the score 24-14. If you take nothing else away from this write up, let it be clear how much of a leader and tough guy

- Is now a three-time selection for the Kentucky Future Stars
- 2024 KYMSFA 8th Grade Division 3 State Champion
Scott being named a top performer each June for the Kentucky Future Stars is starting to almost become a foregone conclusion with his play. In last year’s contest he took a beating all game long, but threw the game-winning TD pass as the clock hit 0:00. The talented righty followed that memorable experience up with an incredible eighth-grade season, as his right arm helped lead Pikeville to an undefeated season and KYMSFA 8th Grade Division 3 State Championship. Individually, Scott tallied 2,038 passing yards with with 31 TD passes versus just 3 INTs and a completion percentage of 73.7%. The multi-sport athlete (wrestling/baseball) also showed off the ability to use his legs a little bit, adding 6 rushing TDs and 229 yards on 47 attempts on the season.

is a proven leader with a multi-sport background, excelling at a high level in each. Most recently, he is coming off an undefeated season as a dual-threat quarterback. Scott can move the pocket while maintaining accuracy in his throws. Mechanically, he has the ability to release sidearm or drop the ball in the bucket over the secondary. He possesses quick hips and agile footwork to evade pressure and get the ball out efficiently. His leadership stands out in his ability to control drives and take care of the football.

– Returner and noted standout off of last year’s 6th grade Kentucky Future Stars
– Took a beating throughout the game, but showed toughness and came up big when it counted
– Threw the game-winning touchdown pass with Tennessee defenders draped all over him with time running off the clock. Personally, would have been my choice for Kentucky Offensive MVP

, the second quarterback on Team Kentucky’s roster to see the field in Saturday’s 6th grade game against Team Tennessee. Scott was especially impressive in the second half, showcasing his efficient speed off the snap, composure under pressure and ability to launch bullets into the backfield. In addition to his excellent size, speed and explosive passing, Scott showcased excellent versatility on the field and could quickly get the ball in the air or pick up yards on the ground despite heavy pressure from Team Tennessee’s defense.
