Wright is a versatile linebacker with good range and has good vision and does a nice job tracking ball carriers through traffic without losing sight of the play. I like that he doesn’t waste much movement. He trusts what he sees, doesn’t chop his feet, and plays downhill with confidence. He put together a productive year two and looked more comfortable as the season went on. It feels like he’s right on the verge of taking that next step, and I wouldn’t be surprised if year three ends up being the one that really gets people talking.

As physically mature as they come as Wright gets set to begin his freshman season at Pikeville High School. A year ago Wright was a two-way starter and clear impact player on a Pikeville Junior High team that finished undefeated and won a State Championship. He possesses a rock-solid build and plays with suddenness. Routinely explodes through gaps and blows plays up at, or behind, the line of scrimmage.

He was physically impressive two years ago as a member of the Kentucky Future Stars, and following a reclass year he looks even better. At 6-foot and 185-muscular-pounds, Wright had a strong year at both Running Back and Linebacker for the Panthers during their 2024 KYMSFA 8th Grade Division 3 State Championship run. For his contributions, he was a KYMSFA Division 3 Honorable Mention Regional POY Nominee this season.
