Following my breakdown of some high-level 2028s that are about to impress next season, here’s my list of under the radar 2028s to know about early.
Boosting offensive production on the ground last season was Dierre Hudson Dierre Hudson 5’10” | 150 lbs | ATH Crawford | 2028 KY , an athlete at Crawford Middle School. What impresses me about Hudson’s playstyle is his quick execution off the snap as well as his deceptive footwork in the pocket. I also like how Hudson can juke out and shake tackles on the run as well as his ability to pick up considerable gain from along the edge.

In addition to being able to operate as a running back, James makes a commanding statement on defense, proving to be a challenge to contain with his size and durability. I like how James can read the offense like a book and pick up speed off the snap to shut down the running game in the pocket.
Proving himself at the line of scrimmage was Gannon Mullins Gannon Mullins 5’11” | 190 lbs | OL Hazard | 2028 KY , an offensive lineman at Hazard Middle School. Mullins impresses me with his size and speed off the snap, showing off his ability to match the defensive line’s strength and create solid pushback. I also like how Mullins can provide solid containment in crucial moments, utilizing his core strength to absorb defensive pressure.

Another skilled defensive prospect to keep an eye on is Colin Wright Colin Wright 5’10” | 155 lbs | LB Pikeville | 2028 KY , a linebacker at Pikeville High School. Wright stands out with his well-balanced playstyle and defensive awareness, proving he can read the quick handoff and make commanding stops in the pocket. I also like Wright’s ability to shut down the passing game from along the edge, showcasing his ability to protect the backfield.

What makes Hollon such a talented gunslinger is his ability to maneuver the pocket with ease, his outstanding arm strength and his ability to consistently impress with his deep passing. Hollon also stands out with his solid footwork and ability to escape the defense with his electric speed.
