JJ Reynolds can grip it and rip it. I love how quickly he gets rid of the ball, throwing with a fast release and great rhythm, timing and velocity in the short/intermediate game. Very impressive when throwing on the move, where he can roll out of the pocket and hit receivers in stride. High-academic prospect who earned the high praise of the event’s coaches.

JJ Reynolds JJ Reynolds 5'10" | 170 lbs | QB Pikeville | 2027 State KY is another quarterback who impressed as a junior, completing 144/214 passes for 1,779 yards, 24 touchdowns, and five interceptions in 12 games. He has shown impressive accuracy, showing the ability to fit passes into tight windows where only his intended receiver can catch it. Reynolds has also shown a great feel for pressure, escaping the pocket when needed then either tucking the ball and picking up yards as a ball carrier or finding the open receiver to make a throw on the run. He finished his junior season with 68 carries for 108 yards and three touchdowns. JJ has received some college interest and I expect his recruitment to continue to heat up heading into his senior season.

What stands out about Reynolds is his ability to quickly connect with his receivers from along the edge, showing off his accuracy off the short pass. I also like how Reynolds can read the defense and utilize his solid footwork to avoid contact and get the ball out.
