A Running Back with a big frame at 5-foot-10 and 170-pounds, he’s a nice blend of power and quickness, with quick feet. Swanson looks to be the future for the Bruins rushing attack and a potential big time Running Back recruit. While he can run up and down a bit, he does a nice job squatting down as he hits the hole, minimizing the surface area the defense has to aim at. Keeps the chains moving by running through contact and consistently falling forward. It will likely be difficult for Swanson to see the field this season, as Ballard is senior-heavy at the skill positions. With that said, giving him another year to get bigger and faster will only make him more dangerous for the duration of his career.

Enzo Swanson Enzo Swanson 5'11" | 175 lbs | ATH Ballard | 2029 KY caught my attention when watching his eighth grade film. He is a very strong runner who keeps his legs churning through contact while maintaining his balance to break tackles with ease without losing stride. Once he hits the open field, Swanson has shown the speed to run away from the defense on long runs. He has also proven to be a reliable receiving threat out of the backfield. Enzo will be a player to continue to watch over the next four years as he has the potential to be a very productive back at the high school level.

Another one of the extremely gifted Running Backs on this 8th Grade Kentucky Future Stars team, it took a little while for him to truly get going, but finally seeing Enzo Swanson Enzo Swanson 5'11" | 175 lbs | ATH Ballard | 2029 KY play in person was a definite treat.

After a ho-hum second half with six yards on just two carries, Swanson had a much stronger second half. Without the benefit of official stats, he was in the neighborhood of 50 yards on just six carries–four of which were in the second half. The former Myzeek Middle Schooler also had a 7-yard reception on his lone target out of the backfield.

In full disclosure, after a Google search and a Hudl search yielded no results, I am yet to see any film of Enzo Swanson Enzo Swanson 5'11" | 175 lbs | ATH Ballard | 2029 KY on the football field. However, he’s a kid I’m very intrigued by and hope I get the chance to see him run. After being named an Alternate for the 6th Grade Kentucky Future Stars in 2023, he finally broke through and made the team this year. The Jefferson County native has some decent track and field numbers too, with a PR of 12.73 in the 100m and a 32’8″ in the shot put. He certainly passes the eye test and I’ll be watching him closely.
