Whitlock consistently put himself in a position to make plays out of the backfield. Sistrunk trusted him and let it rip. The ball would get on Whitlock in a hurry and he’d make the catch. He’s got soft hands and a good feel for finding the soft spot in the zone. He made a few hard-earned TD grabs as well that stood out. There weren’t a ton of backs making plays, but Whitlock was and certainly deserves the recognition.
