is a name that became a regular in my articles this season. This is due to an unbelievable senior year in which Godby finished with 93 receptions for 1,677 yards and 28 touchdowns. Godby proved to be the complete package at receiver for Pulaski County this season. He has the speed to run by defensive backs in the deep passing game and the smooth route running skills to create separation all over the field. Godby also showed the ability to turn short passes and screens into big gains and touchdowns, using his elusiveness to make defenders miss in the open field and speed to run away from the defense. He also showed that he is a very dangerous threat as a returner on special teams, returning two kickoffs for touchdowns this season. Godby is committed to Georgetown College where I see him quickly becoming a key piece of their offense.

was another player that I talked about very frequently this past season. Godby had an unbelievable senior season, catching 93 passes for 1,6777 yards and 28 touchdowns. He has the speed to run by opposing defensive backs in the deep passing game but also has the ability to create separation with his routes. Godby also has the ability to use his athleticism to go up and catch passes at their highest point, even when tightly contested. He also showed value as a returner on special teams, returning two kickoffs for touchdowns while also running the ball six times for 83 yards. Chandler is committed to Georgetown (KY) where I expect him to become a key piece of their offense.

is a player that I’ve talked about quite a bit this year as he has been one of the most productive players in the entire state, at any position. Although it was a short-lived playoff run, Godby found a way to leave his mark in the two games Pulaski County played, catching 19 passes for 301 yards and five touchdowns. Godby is dangerous in both the deep and short passing game, using his speed to blow by defensive backs and smooth route running skills to create separation all over the field. He is also very impressive after the catch, using his elusiveness to make defenders miss in the open field and speed to run away from the defense. He also ran the ball three times for 63 yards and returned one kickoff for a touchdown during the playoffs. Chandler is committed to Georgetown College (KY) where I see him becoming a key piece of their offense.

Past Analysis: Chandler’s route running is extremely unique compared to other top receivers in Kentucky. Not only just attempting to break free of opposing defensive backs to receive the ball like most receivers, but Chandler has also learned how to gain leverage off good coverage and still come up with the football. His footwork and positioning to receive the football are top-notch which helped him gain many receptions and lead the entire state in receiving yards and touchdowns. The senior also has a 4.59 40-yard dash which helps him dust past the defensive backs on routes. Although not the tallest receiver like the other prospects in the state, Chandler uses his IQ and high leaping ability to catch difficult passes that most receivers his size would have zero chance of catching. His talent should not be slept on and I expect college coaches to finally recognize his potential once his senior season ends.
End of Season: It’s safe to say

was on a whole different level than most of all the receivers in the state this season. The senior led the state in total receiving yards, receptions, touchdowns, and yards per game. Chandler made the game look like a piece of cake with his superior route-running and stellar ability to get separation from the opposing DB. Along with that, his speed helps him drive past incoming safeties which help him claim more yards after the catch. Chandler’s athleticism makes it also difficult for any opposing DB to even have a chance at making an incompletion. Just a few days back, the young man committed to Georgetown College where I see him becoming a star for their squad.

has been one of the most impressive players in the entire state this season. He had an outstanding senior regular season, finishing with 74 receptions for 1,376 yards, and 23 touchdowns. Godby has impressive speed, using it to run right by defensive backs in the deep passing game. He is also a smooth route runner with the ability to create separation in his breaks. After the catch, Godby uses his speed and elusiveness in the open field to turn short passes and screens into big gains. He has also proven to be a dangerous returner on special teams, returning a kickoff for a touchdown in the regular season. Godby also played a key role on defense but I like him best on offense with the ball in his hands. Chandler currently holds offers from Union, Lindsey Wilson, Cumberlands (KY), and Montana Tech, and I can see him being a key play maker on offense for any of those programs.

has been one of the best players in the state this year and continued to impress this past week. Although Pulaski County fell short as a team, Godby did everything in his power to keep them in the game against Woodford County. Godby finished with ten catches for 131 yards and two touchdowns. He was able to showcase his impressive route running ability, creating separation with quick breaks in his routes. Godby also showed the ability to adjust to the ball in mid air and catch it at its highest point. He was able to use his speed, quickness, and strength to turn short passes into big gains and also showed ability as a ball carrier on designed run plays, carrying the ball two times for 39 yards. Godby also made an impact on special teams, returning a kickoff for a touchdown. Chandler currently holds offers from Union College, Cumberlands (KY), and Montana Tech, but I think he’s shown that he deserves more offers to come his way as he has the talent to be a very productive receiver at the next level.

Chandler finished as the highest-rated receiver in the ENTIRE state, leading the state in total receptions at 74, total receiving yards with 1,376, and receiving touchdowns at 23. It is safe to say Chandler was nearly unstoppable in the 2022 football campaign and I do not expect him to slow down as the playoffs start. Chandler and the Pulaski High School football team (8-2) will be playing a highly-powered West Jessamine (4-6) offense in their first-round matchup.

is a player that has been mentioned on a frequent basis in my “Top Performers” articles this year as he has been having an incredible season. He is currently the state’s leading receiver with 72 receptions for 1,307 yards and 23 touchdowns. Godby has explosive deep speed with the ability to create separation in the deep passing game. He is also dangerous after the catch as he has the elusiveness to make defenders miss in the open field then uses his speed to run away from the defense. Godby also has very reliable hands and the ability to make contested catches on a consistent basis. He also has made an impact on defense as a defensive back but has definitely shined the brightest on offense. Chandler recently picked up his first offer from Union College but I believe that more college coaches need to be paying closer attention to him.

finds himself on my top performers list. The senior wide receiver continued his impressive final season, catching eleven passes for 145 yards and four touchdowns against North Laurel. Godby continued to show the speed to pose as a deep threat but also showed the ability to catch the ball at its highest point and win jump ball passes over defenders. He also was able to make tough catches through contact and use his speed and elusiveness to pick up yards after the catch. Chandler also had some impressive returns on special teams and came away with an interception on defense. Godby is still without an offer and college coaches need to have their attention on him as he has the potential to be a very special player at the next level.

. Godby put on another very impressive performance this past week, catching seven passes for 211 yards and five touchdowns. He showed the speed to run by defenders in the deep passing game and elusiveness to make them miss in the open field after the catch. I also liked that Godby showed great ability as a blocker in this game, with the willingness to block in the run game and the strength to drive his man out of the play. With the season he is having, it is still shocking to me that Godby hasn’t picked up an offer. I believe some will come soon for him as his talent is undeniable.
