Brysen Dugger Brysen Dugger 6'2" | 185 lbs | QB Pulaski County | 2023 State KY is a quarterback that jumped onto my radar quickly this season. He had a tremendous senior year, completing 199/300 passes for 3,188 yards, 41 touchdowns, and only four interceptions. Dugger has tremendous ball placement with his passes, putting the ball where only his intended receiver can make a play on it. He also has very impressive arm strength. In the deep passing game, Dugger is able to lead his receivers down the field and away from opposing defensive backs so that they can catch passes in stride. He also has shown the ability to fit passes into tight windows in the short/intermediate passing game. Dugger also ran the ball 68 times for 288 yards and eight touchdowns this season. Brysen is committed to the University of the Cumberlands (KY) where I can see him earning the starting quarterback job eventually and thriving in that role.

were one the most exciting offensive duos to watch in the state of Kentucky this past season. Regarding Dugger, he had an extremely successful season for Pulaski County High School. In only 12 games played, Brysen completed 66.3% of his passes for 3,188 passing yards & 41 touchdowns with only 4 interceptions. Along with a lot of the other top-rated quarterbacks in Kentucky, Brysen is terrific at scrambling out of the pocket and reading the defensive positioning to get some extra yards on foot. But what I like most about Brysen is his mechanics. Watching him throwing the football with his great footwork & arm angle is a beauty to watch. It is also important to mention that Brysen has some impressive field vision that enables him to improvise with the football and still make big plays for his offense. At the end of his senior season, Brysen received a few offers from local colleges in Kentucky and I expect him to continue his football career playing at one of those schools.

The competition for the top quarterback in 5A was so close that I decided to add a second one. Brysen Dugger Brysen Dugger 6'2" | 185 lbs | QB Pulaski County | 2023 State KY had an incredible senior regular season for Pulaski County, completing 169/240 passes for 2,626 yards, 33 touchdowns, and only three interceptions. He has a strong arm with the ability to lead his receivers down the field and hit them in stride in the deep passing game. Dugger also has shown good ball placement with the ability to put his passes where only his receivers can get to them. He also has shown the ability to tuck the ball and pick up yards on the ground when needed, finishing the regular season with 51 carries for 223 yards and six touchdowns. Brysen currently holds an offer from Cumberlands (KY) but he deserves more attention as he is a very gifted quarterback

Brysen Dugger Brysen Dugger 6'2" | 185 lbs | QB Pulaski County | 2023 State KY is a player that has exceeded expectations this season and continued to put on a show this past Friday. Dugger helped lead Pulaski County to an impressive 53-35 victory over West Jessamine, completing 17/34 passes for 403 yards and six touchdowns. He has continued to show a very strong arm with the ability to lead his receivers down the field in the deep passing game. Dugger also has tremendous ball placement with the ability to put passes where only his receivers have a chance to catch them. He also showed the ability to tuck the ball and pick up yards on the ground, carrying the ball seven times for 76 yards and two touchdowns this past week. Brysen is also a very talented baseball and basketball player so it remains to be seen what he will do after high school but he definitely has a future as a college quarterback if he chooses to pursue that path. Dugger will lead Pulaski County in a tough road match up against Woodford County this week in the second round.

Next up on the list is another talented passer that has had a breakout senior year. Brysen Dugger Brysen Dugger 6'2" | 185 lbs | QB Pulaski County | 2023 State KY has had an incredible season so far completing 156/215 passes for a state-leading 2,345 yards and 32 touchdowns, and has also only thrown three interceptions through nine games. One of the biggest things that sticks out with Dugger is his impressive pocket presence. He does a great job of standing tall in the pocket and showing the toughness to stay in the pocket and deliver passes while under pressure. Dugger also has incredible arm talent. He has the arm strength to lead his receivers down the field in the deep passing game but also has great ball placement and touch on his passes, putting the ball where only his receivers can get to it. Brysen doesn’t currently hold any official football offers and he is also a star baseball and basketball player so it remains to be seen what he will decide to do after high school but he definitely has the talent to be a successful quarterback at the next level.
