To wrap up our top five running backs in the class of 2027 in the state of Kentucky, I have

. Brock had an outstanding junior season, leading Pulaski County in rushing with 242 carries for 1,659 yards and 21 touchdowns in 14 games. He is a very difficult ball carrier to bring down for a single defender as he explodes out of his stance and bursts downhill with a full head of steam and then has shown the ability to lower his shoulder and run straight through defenders without breaking stride. Brock has also shown the second gear of speed to run away from the defense once he hits the open field. He also caught 26 passes for 431 yards and four touchdowns, and returned a kickoff for a touchdown as a junior. Kasen also made an impact on defense this past season, recording 26 tackles, one interception, and returning a fumble recovery for a touchdown. Brock surprisingly doesn’t hold any offers yet but he has received a good amount of college interest and I expect a lot of eyes to be on him as he prepares for his senior season.

is a running back who has been high on my radar for a while now and I’m very surprised hasn’t picked up an offer yet. He had another very impressive season as a junior, leading his team in rushing with 242 carries for 1,659 yards and 21 touchdowns in 14 games. Brock is a very strong downhill runner, showing the ability to run straight through defenders while maintaining his balance to break tackles with ease without losing stride. He has also shown the speed to run away from the defense once he hits the second level. Brock also played a key role in the passing as a junior, catching 26 passes for 431 yards and four touchdowns. He also returned a kickoff for a touchdown this past season, and recorded 26 tackles, one interception, and returned a fumble recovery for a touchdown on defense. I wouldn’t be surprised to see an offer come his way soon as Kasen has received a strong amount of college interest.

has picked up right where he left off this season. He had an impressive game as a ball carrier in Pulaski County’s win over George Rogers Clark, finishing with 27 carries for 149 yards and two touchdowns. Brock is a downhill runner who hits the hole with a sense of urgency and has the speed to run away from the defense once he hits the open field. Kasen also finished the game with three receptions for 26 yards and made an impact on defense at safety, finishing the game with six tackles, one tackle for loss, and an interception. Brock doesn’t currently hold any offers but he is definitely a player who college coaches will have a close eye on over the next few years.

is a player that I’m very excited to watch this weekend as he is the top running back in the state in his class. Brock is coming off a strong freshman season in which he carried the ball 190 times for 1,459 yards and 14 touchdowns in 12 games. Kasen has very impressive speed, showing the ability to explode through the running lane and run away from the defense on long runs. When defenders are able to catch up to him, he has shown the contact balance to break tackles without losing stride. Brock also showed the ability to line up in the slot and pose as a threat in the passing game, finishing his freshman year with 35 receptions for 329 yards and two touchdowns. Kasen doesn’t currently hold any offers but I can see some starting to come his way before too long as he has received some college interest and I believe he has the potential to become a Division I caliber running back prospect.

, a running back at Pulaski County High School. What impresses me about Brock is his quick execution off the handoff, proving he can stay on his feet in the pocket and break tackles en route to the open field. I also like Brock’s ability to pick up speed on the ground, showcasing his ability to blast past the defense into the endzone for the score.

had an insanely good performance running the Football this past Friday for Pulaski County High School. He took 16 carries for 246 rushing yards along with 2 receptions for 25 receiving yards against Harlan County High School. The two greatest traits that Kasen has running the football are his field vision to find open running gaps in the defense, and his ability to break off multiple tackles after initial contact. Once the ball has been snapped, Kasen can read the defense quickly enough to find an opening to run toward. Brock can pick up lots of extra yards after contact using his lower body strength to keep him off his feet and break tackles. This is a valuable trait to have for a running back wanting to play at the next level as most defenders at the collegiate level will not fail at tackling an opponent down. I would keep an eye out for Brock during the postseason.
