Ford is a good two-way player with upside on both sides of the ball. Offensively, I like his hands and vertical ability. He can win in tight areas, make plays above defenders, and gives you a legitimate red-zone target because of how well he competes for the football. Defensively, he shows good speed, range, and vision. He has a knack for finding his way to the ball and seems to be involved in plays all over the field. The sideline-to-sideline ability stands out, and he covers ground with ease once he diagnoses what’s happening. Players who can impact the game in multiple phases are always intriguing, and Ford checks that box.

Ford has also shown the elusiveness to make defenders miss in the open field. Winston finished this past season with 39 carries for 254 yards and two touchdowns in 12 games. He also caught five passes for 71 yards as a freshman. Ford doesn’t currently hold any offers but he should be a player to keep an eye on as his role continues to grow in the Pulaski County offense.

Ford was very impressive during position drills, showing very smooth change of direction ability and impressive footwork when making cuts. He also stood out during the open field competition, showing the elusiveness to make opposing linebackers miss with ease. Ford will be an intriguing prospect to keep an eye on as he continues to develop over the next couple seasons.

Ford caught my attention with his excellent footwork and speed. I also liked how Ford could read the offense, spot the quick handoff and make powerful stops in crucial moments.
