When I watch through the highlights of Ashton one word quickly comes to mind. Fearless. The 5’10” 180 lbs DB flies around the football field at 100 mph on every snap. You will find the senior lining up all over the field. CB, S, even down in the box to help in run support. Ashton has the next level speed to pair with that aggressive play style, which allows him to fly through the front seven and close quickly against the run and on the ball in the pass game. In coverage, Ashton shows quick feet and hips to mirror routes as well as a nice acceleration burst when he comes out of his backpedal. A program can get a legitimate impact player on defense with the addition of Baumann.
