continues to prove how valuable he is to St. Peter’s Prep’s offense. All season, he’s shown he can power the run game and contribute as a passer out of the backfield. But in this playoff matchup, he added another layer by stepping up as a dependable wide receiver.
Turay delivered the knockout blow late in the game. He hauled in a 52-yard strike from

and took it the distance, sealing the win for St. Peter’s Prep. It was a perfect example of how his versatility creates matchup problems for defenses.
Together, Bell and Turay highlighted the multifaceted nature of this offense. St. Peter’s can line up its running backs at receiver, stretch the field, and force opponents to adjust on the fly. And Turay’s clutch touchdown showed exactly why that flexibility matters in big moments.

showed just how versatile he is in this matchup. He carried the ball 15 times for 100 yards and added 4 receptions for 14 yards. His biggest moment came on a two-point conversion, where he took a jet sweep into the end zone to seal the win for St. Peter’s Prep. Turay proved he can be counted on as both a runner and a pass catcher, making him one of the most dynamic backs in New Jersey. After a 2,000-yard rushing season at St. John’s Vianney, he has kept that same consistency since transferring to St. Peter’s Prep.

, in many ways he represents the rich getting richer. On the heels of a monster sophomore season toting the rock (297/2517/37), Turay subsequently exited St. John Vianney with former head coach Bobby Acosta and is heading to Hudson County to play for St. Peter’s Prep This move allows Turay, already a top 10 prospect in the state, to run behind the #4 overall prospect and New Jersey’s top offensive lineman in the class of 2027,

heads to St. Peter’s Prep loaded with production — over 2,500 rushing yards and a 194-yard-per-game average. The Marauders already boast a balanced, high-scoring attack so that touches might be limited. Still, Turay’s vision, burst, and proven workhorse résumé keep him firmly in the conversation as a candidate to lead Jersey in rushing. Offers from BC, Pitt, Syracuse, and WVU show colleges see it too.

is ranked as the #2 RB in the 2027 NJ class. All around explosive talent, Abdul is proving in his sophomore campaign that he is a force to be reckoned with. Through four games Abdul has put up some massive numbers. Rushing for 685 yards and receiving another 171, St. John Vianney’s gets Abdul the ball as often as possible. With an astonishing 13 visits to the end zone thus far, Abdul may come out of the 2024 season with the most points scored in the entire state. While all of these stats are extremely impressive, what stands out the most to me is how efficient Abdul has been with the ball in his hands. Averaging 10.7 yards per carry, St. John Vianney is nearly guaranteed a first down every time Abdul touches the ball. Colleges are starting to notice Abdul’s skill level too, as he has offers from Syracuse, WVU, and Northern Illinois. More offers should be coming soon.

Abdul Turay, standing at 5’10” and 170 pounds, is one of the top running backs in the 2027 class. With his long frame and broad shoulders, Turay combines agility with physicality to excel in the backfield. One of Turay’s standout attributes is his contact balance, which allows him to stay upright and power through tackles. His ability to drive his knees helps him maintain balance and breakthrough would-be tacklers, often requiring multiple defenders to bring him down. Additionally, Turay showcases good agility in the open field, utilizing spin moves and jukes to evade defenders and force missed tackles.Turay demonstrates solid burst and decisiveness as a runner, showing the ability to hit the hole quickly and find creases in the defense. He also displays patience, allowing his offensive line to create openings for him to exploit. With an offer from Syracuse already on the table, Turay’s dynamic skill set and impact as a running back are likely to attract more attention from college programs as the upcoming season progresses. , at times, simply looked like the best running back on varsity film when we overhauled the rankings. He has the ability to be a burner but appears patient with his speed, putting his pedal to the metal to make a clear difference as he reaches the defense’s back-two levels. Additionally, he will wait to bounce outside avoiding doing so prematurely. Once he is turned up, Turay showcases balance in his running, particularly as he tightropes the sideline when he busts big plays. Turay also has hips that are highly mobile, allowing him to evade tackles. This trait, combined with his outstanding pad level, make it seem as if tacklers simply fall off of him. One comfortable rushing through the middle as well, he finds a way to squirm and eek out when rushing between the tackles. He is also a utilized as an outlet in the passing game. I happen to love Turay’s game and think that a clear case can be made for him to be the top skill in the 2027 class; however, our team has reservations about the level of competition he faces on a weekly basis.
