This event’s other quarterback, Nicholas Taliercio, also a middle schooler, threw a wicked-tight spiral. Taliercio’s strength was pushing the ball vertically. Comparatively speaking, these throws were better than when trying to hit targets running across the middle, as receivers throwing such routes often had to slow down and stop for the ball – much of which I chalk up to the disparity in physical maturity between he and his receivers. Lastly, I want to see Taliercio command the huddle a bit more, using his outside voice to call the cadence and snap.

Taliercio displayed a strong arm throughout the session while consistently throwing with solid mechanics and a smooth, repeatable release. What stood out most was his timing and ball placement, as he routinely delivered accurate throws in rhythm during route concepts. He also flashed the ability to stretch the field vertically, highlighted by a well thrown deep post later in the morning.

While he has attended PRZ events in the past, it has been nearly two years since the last one, and Nicholas has had plenty of time to grow and refine his skills.
