Carson is an excellent lineman and has the versatility to play alongside any of the line positions. The blindside tackle is where his skill set aligns. He is quick on his feet, moves well laterally, and has the length and size to hold up against various types of EDGE rushers. He is fundamentally sound and is a player who can move inside if he needs to.

Thorne is an exceptional tackle with great size and has a frame to get over 300 lbs and to carry it well. He is an excellent athlete who displays great lateral quickness and movement patterns. Thorne has an explosive first step, shows great agility, and is light on his feet. He uses that to be a talented puller who will lead the way and look for contact. Thorne is a physical lineman and seeks out punishment and he gets to the second level with ease The agile big man will drive his defender back and is a strong and imposing lineman. Thorne has great footwork and a mauler, his speed will be his calling card and he should be recruited at the Power-Four level.

At the 2025 Power House 5v5 event, Thorne had a very impressive showing. He had a good base, never reached, showed great footwork to keep his man in front of him, had great lateral movement, and never looked overmatched. Thorne showed good physicality and hand-fighting. His strength was on full display, as was his technique. It was an excellent showing for Thorne.

Thorne is a physical prospect with the versatility to play both tackle positions. Flexibility to bend at the knees. Shows explosion as a run blocker with strength, leg drive and brings his feet. Ability to pull and trap block. Make blocks in the open field. Quickness to set his base, hands to give contact and sustain his feet and balance in pass protection. Thorne has the size and movement to play both tackle and guard in a zone blocking type scheme at the next level.
