Section 1: Rye Vs Somers

All three are hungry to win after the loss last week. Rye walks into this game with a 1-0 record after a 63-20 win over Section 9 Middletown. Players to watch for Rye include [player_tooltip player_id='1229592' first='Carson' last='Miller'], [player_tooltip player_id='1529592' first='Henry' last='Shoemaker'], and ATH [player_tooltip player_id='1213800' first='Jagger' last='Fenton'], who had a big Week One.

Shenendehowa kicked off the season with a massive win against Section 1 Harrison by a score of 49-14. The Plainsmen come into this game sitting at 1-0. The Plainsmen won the 2024 matchup against Niskayuna by a score of 35-12 and will look to take this year's rendition. Key players for Shenendehowa include [player_tooltip player_id='1649142' first='Jack' last='Clawson'], [player_tooltip player_id='1777690' first='Evan' last='Fargnoli'], and [player_tooltip player_id='1624597' first='Noah' last='Schreiner']. Niskayuna kicked off their season with a 35-14 win over Yorktown. The Silver Warriors lost the 2024 matchup against the Plainsmen and look for revenge and to move to 2-0 on the new season. In a competitive game, [player_tooltip player_id='1212767' first='Cam' last='Grasso'], and [player_tooltip player_id='1685587' first='Omari' last='Forrest'] are two key players I would watch in this game after their electric Week One performance.

Section 3: Skaneateles Vs Bishop Ludden

Skaneateles kicked off their 2025 campaign with a crushing defeat at the hands of Canastota. 30-27 was the score of that game, and with a repeat of one of their two 2024 loses, the Lakers will look to get huge win so they don't start the season off 0-2. Two key players for the Lakers this season are QB [player_tooltip player_id='1624572' first='Hugh' last='Carroll'], and 2027 OL [player_tooltip player_id='1513250' first='Nate' last='Ellis']. Bishop Ludden started their season with an 0-1 record, with a loss against Jamesville-DeWitt 35-27. Bishop Ludden won the 2024 matchup against the Lakers and will look for a repeat with the help of key players like [player_tooltip player_id='1513347' first='Angel' last='Mil'], X'Zavion Streiff, and [player_tooltip player_id='1165799' first='Micah' last='Baker'].

Section 4: Maine Endwell Vs Chenango Forks

Maine Endwell was one of the top teams in the state in 2024. The Spartans lost in the Semi-Finals, in the Class B championships last year after a perfect regular season, which included a win against Chenango Forks. Maine-Endwell will look to start their season on the right track with players like [player_tooltip player_id='1623491' first='Luca' last='Konrad'], [player_tooltip player_id='1344853' first='Preston' last='Ocker'], and [player_tooltip player_id='1667222' first='Maxwell' last='Hansbrough'].

Last week PRZNY was in attendance for Pittsford Vs Victor. In a neutral site matchup, the Panthers grabbed a 27-17 win to kick off their 2025 season. These two teams matched up last season, with University Prep picking up a 20-7 win in what became a 1-8 season for the Panthers. University Prep will look to make it two in a row with a 2025 win against Pittsford and move to 1-1 with the help of key playmakers like Paris Broken, and [player_tooltip player_id='1513210' first='Gavin' last='White'].

Cory's Call: University Prep 24-10

Section 6: WNY Maritime Vs Eden/North Collins

WNY Maritime, opened the season with a big 46-28 win over St.Mary's. The Seahawks got a much needed 1-0 start to the season, after a 2-6 season in 2024. With the teams matching up for a 1-0 battle, this makes it a much watch game in Week Two. Key players for the Seahawks include Jaylon Coleman, and [player_tooltip player_id='1513261' first='Davion' last='Blackwell']. Eden/North Collins kicked off 2025 with a seven point win against Lake Shore.
Cory's Call: WNY Maritime 24-17

Cornwall Central opened their 2025 campaign with a huge win over Burnt Hills Ballston Lake. In defensive performance the Dragons won a close game 10-3.

Section 11: Sayville Vs Half Hollow Hills West

Sayville returns one of the top Quarterbacks in the state this season. What better way to kick off the season with a difficult matchup against a solid team inside their section. The Golden Flashes went 11-1 last season with their only loss coming in a close game against eventual champions Garden City. Key players for this season include [player_tooltip player_id='747206' first='Patrick' last='Coan'], [player_tooltip player_id='747214' first='Benjamin' last='Kloska'], and [player_tooltip player_id='747215' first='Javen' last='Taff']. Half Hollow Hills West kicks off their season as well, and look to revenge their two loses from 2024, which came at the hands of Sayville. The Colts who will likely make the playoffs this season, start the year with a key matchup where players like QB [player_tooltip player_id='1697592' first='Luke' last='Taff'], and Gavin Engelhardt will be names to watch in this key kickoff matchup.

Cory's Call: Sayville 42-41

Section 12 PSAL: Lincoln Vs Curtis

Curtis sits at 2-0 this season and has picked up two gritty wins against tricky opponents. Ina close game last Friday, The Warriors escaped North Rockland with a 22-14 win. The Warriors are battle tested and have proven they are a top team in the PSAL League. Players like [player_tooltip player_id='1208308' first='Quadare' last='Gomez'], Kai Lewis, and [player_tooltip player_id='402266' first='Jarrett' last='Serate'] will be key guys for Curtis during this game. Despite an 0-2 start, Lincoln has faces two tough opponents to start the season.
