There were a couple of quarterbacks that I had interest in identifying as my top performer, but the more and more I watched Jaiseon Barnwell Jaiseon Barnwell 6'1" | 190 lbs | QB Newburgh Free Academy | 2027 State NY , the more and more I realized it was him. Barnwell gets the ball out quick and immediately. Some of his throws, dare I saw, looked like they were rifled out of his arm. Each rep I caught I was impressed with his ball placement. He often led his receivers, but also showed touch and on-target delivery to prevent defenders having an opportunity to make a play on the pass attempt. Lastly, Barnwell set up his throws well by moving in the pocket to create better angles and release points for himself.

Barnwell is one of the best athletes in this class; he has the speed and change of direction to avoid guys in the pocket and make plays with his legs.

Barnwell shows some nice touch and ball placement as a thrower. I liked a lot of his back pylon targets in the red zone, and he shows on tape that he can throw on the run. Most of his throws are in the sub-40-yard range, so you don’t get a true feel for his arm strength, but he shows nice touch and accuracy throughout his tape.
