All across the Charlotte Metro Area in Week 1, there were big-time offensive performances, and we're going to highlight them here with a bit of commentary tacked on as well. Please make sure you are sharing your performances with me via Twitter/X @pepman704, especially if you are in the Charlotte Metro Area, to be considered for inclusion! We will have this series all year long on Prep Redzone North Carolina, and we will recognize everyone - including linemen! Stats and film will help a TON when being evaluated for inclusion! All right, let's get started.

[player_tooltip player_id='254550' first='Ethan' last='Royal'] - Hough - Two Rushing Touchdowns in victory over South Pointe - Keep Pounding Classic - Ethan's athleticism and dual-threat ability saved a lot of potential sacks by the South Pointe defense. Expect Ethan to really start producing more in the passing game as the season goes forward.

[player_tooltip player_id='1321007' first='Jamouri' last='Nichols'] - West Charlotte - 3 TD Runs, TD Pass, 240 Yards Of Total Offense In Keep Pounding Classic - Jamouri put on a show last Friday night in front of nearly 13,000 fans at Bank of America Stadium. He is set to have a very strong junior season after doing that against one of the top teams in the state.

Josh Falzarano - Myers Park - Two TD Runs and 127 Yards Rushing in victory over JM Robinson - Josh showed some impressive speed and vision, adding some game-breaking ability with the ball in his hands.

Da'Mourion Thomas-Wright - Butler - 2 TD Runs and 155 Yards Rushing in victory over Olympic - I like the speed/power combo Thomas-Wright showed in this one. He has a couple of offers, but with his size, I can easily see more coming his way.

[player_tooltip player_id='1909800' first='Zahir' last='Smith'] - Olympic - 147 Rushing Yards vs. Butler - Impressive performance as a wildcat quarterback, being pressed into duty due to injury.

[player_tooltip player_id='651159' first='Braylon' last='Clark'] - Country Day - 9 Catches, 204 Yards, 3 Touchdowns in victory over Christ the King - Braylon has had an impressive start to the season, fueling the Buccaneers to a 2-0 record. Braylon also picked up offers recently from Texas A&M, Nebraska, and Kansas State - so the Midwest is learning what we already know - he's the real deal.

[player_tooltip player_id='1600218' first='James' last='Bailey'] III - East Mecklenburg - 2 Touchdowns, Interception, 108 Receiving Yards vs. Hopewell - The talented athlete continues doing what he does on both sides of the ball - he is the best player the Eagles have and a legit college football prospect.

Gabe Mclaurin - North Mecklenburg - 136 Rushing Yards, 2 Touchdowns in victory over Rocky River - Gabe ran with good vision behind an impressive Vikings offensive line that dominated the line of scrimmage this past Friday.

[player_tooltip player_id='1124842' first='Jayden' last='Jones'] - Independence - 309 Total Yards, including a 75 Yard Game-Winning Punt Return TD in victory over Gaffney - Jayden showed why he's one of the best players in North Carolina with a strong performance across the border.

[player_tooltip player_id='915835' first='Jared' last='Street'] - Independence - 261 Passing Yards, 61 Rushing Yards, TD Run in victory over Gaffney - Coming off a down season at a different school, Jared continues his positive momentum from the offseason, showing nice accuracy and ball placement to multiple receivers, while showing off his dual-threat abilities.

[player_tooltip player_id='1671861' first='Grant' last='Lawless'] - East Lincoln - 450 Passing Yards, 4 TD Passes, 4 TD Runs - Broke School Record in victory over S. Iredell - Accounting for 8 touchdowns in one game is a rare feat, and the Wake Forest commit showed his entire bag of tricks in this one - connecting with star TE [player_tooltip player_id='1607779' first='Jaxon' last='Dollar'] for three of his touchdown passes.

Kaeden Eddie - Southlake Christian - 9 Catches, 141 Yards in victory over Lake Norman Charter - Connecting with QB [player_tooltip player_id='1321016' first='Cameron' last='Gandy'] consistently helped the Eagles get off to a 1-0 start.

Alexis Rosario - Concord - Made 3 Field Goals (47,46,20) - Broke School Record For Longest FG vs. Mt. Pleasant - Impressive range and consistency with these kicks!

[player_tooltip player_id='1671903' first='Michael' last='Edwards'] - Crest - 7 catches, 178 yards, TD Catch in victory vs. Burns - One of the many talented weapons on offense for the 5A State Title Contender this season.

[player_tooltip player_id='1144640' first='Ely' last='Hamrick'] - Crest - 384 Passing Yards, 3 Touchdowns, Rushing Touchdown in victory over Burns - Ely showed a very strong arm, completing passes to all areas of the field. The Virginia commit showed why he's a Power 4 player here.

[player_tooltip player_id='338729' first='Khalil' last='Price'] - Mallard Creek - Over 100 Yards Receiving and 2 Touchdowns in victory over Rolesville - The Campbell commit opened a lot of eyes across the state with his performance here. With Khalil's size and speed combination, he could be in line for a huge season in the new Mavericks offense.

[player_tooltip player_id='1849424' first='Tahj' last='Brooks'] - Chambers - 17 Carries, 135 Rushing Yards, & 3 Touchdowns in victory over Clover - The brother of talented back Ziere Brooks, Tahj showed his time is now, picking up a victory over a good Clover (SC) squad.

[player_tooltip player_id='1348404' first='Landen' last='Agee'] - North Lincoln - 268 Rushing Yards and 5 Touchdowns in victory over West Lincoln - North Lincoln always seems to run the ball very well, and Landen picks up the slack as the main guy this season with some incredible production in Week 1.

[player_tooltip player_id='1320897' first='Kaleb' last='Vines'] - Providence - 100 Rushing Yards, 2 Touchdowns, 47 Yd Catch in victory over Hickory Ridge - I thought Kaleb was a great fit for the Panthers' offensive scheme coming into this year, and he's off to a strong start with nice production on only 9 carries.

[player_tooltip player_id='1369343' first='Garrett' last='Nowlan'] - Charlotte Catholic - 158 Rushing Yards and 3 Touchdowns in victory over South Mecklenburg - The beat goes on for the Cougars' running game, expect Garrett to have multiple 100-yard games in the run-heavy Wing-T scheme Charlotte Catholic employs.

[player_tooltip player_id='1671873' first='Mason' last='Iovino'] - Cuthbertson - 182 Rushing Yards, 2 Touchdowns, 41 Receiving Yards vs. Ardrey Kell - Mason is an impressive back, and doing this as one of the few threats that the Cavaliers showed offensively makes it even more impressive against a good defense.

Samuel Cheeseboro - Mallard Creek - 215 Passing Yards, 2 Touchdowns Off The Bench in victory over Rolesville - I'm really happy Samuel had this performance - he showed nice fundamentals and poise from the pocket, and even more notable is that he did this coming off the bench in relief of their starting quarterback, who went out due to injury.

[player_tooltip player_id='1421082' first='RJ' last='Lynch'] - Lincolnton - 6 Catches, 154 Yards, 2 Touchdowns & 3 Tackles vs. Maiden - It was a tough loss for the Wolves in Week 1, but RJ picked right up where he left off last season, showing speed and fearlessness running routes all over the field and making big plays.

[player_tooltip player_id='1671976' first='Corddarious' last='Neal'] - Statesville - Multiple Pancake Blocks in the run game in victory over East Surry - Neal showed some impressive physicality at the point of attack in this one, and he moved well for his size on a variety of blocks.

[player_tooltip player_id='1607907' first='Nick' last='Albright'] - Crest - Good snaps, excellent execution in run blocking & pass blocking in victory over Burns - For centers, I always like to look at how well they snap and step to shaded techniques - Nick did a good job with this in the running game, and he didn't allow upfield peneteration in pass protection as well.

Malachi Bush - Cox Mill - Aggressive run blocking, pulls, nice pass protection vs. Marvin Ridge - I really liked Malachi's film here - he showed some good technique from his tackle spot in his highlights. He will be a player I will keep an eye on over the next few weeks.

[player_tooltip player_id='1254553' first='Jonathan' last='Moore'] - Ashbrook - Physical run blocking, good pass protection from guard position in victory over West Meck - The Lenoir-Rhyne commit is picking up where he left off last season, good drive blocking from his guard position, and not giving up penetration against interior defensive linemen in pass protection.

Anthony Smith - Stuart Cramer - Several legitimate pancake blocks in the run game in victory over Forestview - I liked watching Anthony pull and just level defenders in space on his highlight film in this one. I look forward to seeing how he does in pass protection throughout the season.

[player_tooltip player_id='1671870' first='Mozes' last='Morris'] - West Forsyth - 102 Rushing Yards and 3 Touchdowns in victory over Davie County - Mozes got off to a great start at his new school, showing the speed and agility we have come to know, behind a strong offensive line.

[player_tooltip player_id='1467712' first='Tyler' last='Johnson'] - Community School of Davidson - 124 Rushing Yards, 120 Receiving Yards, and 3 Touchdowns vs. North Stanly - Tyler had a very impressive game for the Spartans, showing that he can do a LOT more than just play quarterback in this one.

[player_tooltip player_id='1106930' first='Jamal' last='Rule'] - Charlotte Christian - 166 Rushing Yards, 85 Receiving Yards, 3 Touchdowns in victory over Page - The Nebraska commit once again showed why he's a major recruit, showing his versatility both in the running game and passing game here.

[player_tooltip player_id='1194708' first='Kegian' last='Blanchard'] - American Leadership Academy - 112 Yards Receiving 3 Touchdowns & 7 Tackles in victory over Lejeune - Kegian showed off his athlete abilities here, making plays on both sides of the ball, but really flashing his playmaking skills in helping his team to a Week 1 victory.

Zykerion Pharr - Garinger - 184 Rushing Yards & Three Touchdowns in victory over Winston-Salem Prep - Garinger broke a 48-game losing streak in this one, and Zykerion was a major part of this, showing some nice speed and breakaway ability in the open field to power the Wildcats to victory.
