About Cameron
Expert Analysis

If you want a quarterback out of central casting, Cameron would be your guy for sure. He’s got the physical traits you want – height, strong arm, and the ability to put the ball anywhere on the field with those abilities. After an early offer from New Mexico, college football programs are starting to realize that as well, as Cameron recently picked up an offer from Wofford. I’m expecting to see more positive recruiting momentum for Cameron once we really get going into camp season.

It is rare that a quarterback throws for nearly 2000 yards and 14 touchdowns, and you consider him an under-the-radar prospect. But that’s the case here with Cameron, as the talented quarterbacks in this area are in large numbers in the 2027 class. First off, the size is what you really like at 6’3 and 195 pounds. Cameron has impressive arm strength, and the ball comes off his hands in an impressive fashion. He’s got some nice placement on the deep ball and some good overall fundamentals in the pocket. I think he’s poised to have an even bigger year statistically next season.

The Pine Lake Prep transfer is already getting some interest from major colleges and he’ll look to put on a show for SouthLake Christian in 2025. A prototypical pocket passer. He has college arm strength, but his footwork tended to abandon him some last year, dropping his accuracy numbers from what he’s really capable of. Expect him to put up bigger–and more efficient–numbers in 2025.

Cameron has picked up an offer from New Mexico and has several other college programs interested in him currently. Cameron has a strong arm and can make throws to all areas of the field. With good accuracy on his passes consistently, Cameron is poised to have a big junior season and jump on even more radars of college football programs across the nation. I think Cameron is a hard-working young man with the right demeanor to lead an offense to a successful year.

Cam had a productive season as a varsity starter, throwing for 1,550 passing yards and 9 touchdowns in the season. Cam is definitely a pocket-style quarterback, but he possesses the traits that college coaches like to work for in these types of players. Cam has good fundamentals, a smooth throwing motion, and a strong arm that can attack all areas of the field already. I saw Cam in a postseason showcase, and he definitely has some good football in his future. Cam picked up his first college offer from New Mexico earlier this offseason, and he should continue to see recruiting attention come his way.

Cameron had a good sophomore season as a starting quarterback, and area coaches think he has a bright future ahead of him. I like Cameron’s fundamentals – he has a nice delivery of the football with a smooth motion. Cameron has good footwork for a sophomore, and he simply just needs more reps to continue to develop and get better going into his junior year.

I had two head coaches (Not Pine Lake) reach out to me and say very good things about this young man. It’s also rare to see a prospect this young with playoff varsity football experience, but Cameron certainly has that. In that game, Cameron showed a strong ability to make off-platform throws for big gains. I wouldn’t classify him as a dual-threat, he is certainly a pocket quarterback who can really hurt you if you give him time to set his feet and make down field reads. With Cameron’s size, you can definitely be excited for the future, especially if he hits another growth spurt.
