Coming off a state championship, you never know what you’re going to get from a player in an All-Star game. But Michael really did well in this game. He got things started with a nice fade catch for a touchdown in the first quarter. He very nearly would have had another touchdown catch later in the game if not for an overthrown ball. Michael also had several catches to keep the chains moving, including a 30-yarder on the first play of the game. Michael finished with 6 catches for 95 yards and the touchdown pass.

Mike has been a big-time playmaker for the Chargers over the past couple of years and has made a number of highlight-worthy plays throughout the years. His speed is impressive, and he can make defenders miss in the open field with the best of him. I really like his ability to deliver in the clutch most of all though.

Edwards is at his best when he can get behind defenders down the field, but he also punishes off coverage with the ability to make the first guy miss. He’s not the biggest receiver, but plays bigger than his size, able to go up and get 50-50 balls over bigger defenders. He shows nice cuts in his routes and while most of his work is done vertically, he flashes lateral quickness as well.
