We have Jahmere ranked as a defensive back here at Prep Redzone North Carolina, but I was interested in his activity in the box as Monroe focused more on the running game and short passing game for the most part in this scrimmage. I kept seeing Jahmere in on tackles and around the football, and his speed and instincts are a major plus for a Crest defense that should be one of the best overall in the Charlotte Metro Area.

Canady doesn’t have a ton of experience but on film he looks like he could develop into a true Division I prospect. He has excellent ball skills and looks solid in zone coverage in both cover 3 and cover 2. He doesn’t have much film against the run but as he gets older, he could fly up our rankings.
