I saw Jayden twice in practice during Bowl Week, and he looked as fresh and fast as I’ve ever seen him. Jayden told me he just loves playing ball, and he doesn’t get caught up in any other stuff around the game. In his last high school game, Jayden put on a show and was the overall game MVP by Charlotte Football Insiders (CFI). Jayden rushed for 171 yards on 18 carries, which is most likely a Queen City Senior Bowl record. Jayden was in and out of the hole quickly, and he nearly had a go-ahead score in the 4th quarter, but the East Team held him out of the end zone on a goalline stand. Nevertheless, Jayden easily has college football talent, and I hope a school takes a chance on him because they’ll get a steal on the field.

The steady hand of the Patriots offense, Jayden did what he does -set the tone and the beat of the Independence offense. The first 3 plays of the game, Jayden had nice runs, which prompted Page to call an early timeout to speak with their defense. It didn’t help much though. Jayden finished with a rushing touchdown and a kickoff return for touchdown in this one. He totaled 162 Rushing Yards on 16 Carries as well. I spoke with Jayden after the game.

We have had Jayden ranked highly throughout his career here at Prep Redzone North Carolina, and it’s been highly deserved. Ever since his sophomore season, Jayden has been one of the best running backs in the state. He’s battled through some injury issues this season, but has come back strong in the past couple of weeks, and this past week, the Patriots played their most complete game of the season, blowing out a Chambers team that has played tough against everyone they faced previously. Jayden has next-level agility and vision, to go along with great footwork and speed.
