<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The Battle at the Beach passing tournament at Edison High is the biggest annual passing tournament of the summer.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>This year is no different with a stacked lineup of some of the best teams in Southern California.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Here is a brief look at the teams competing at the event on Saturday:</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>POOL A</strong></h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>SANTA MARGARITA</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>This will be the first look a lot of media members get of Santa Margarita after the Eagles dropped out of the Mission Viejo tournament a couple of weeks back. The Eagles are led by new head coach <strong>Carson Palmer</strong>. Santa Margarita's quarterback will be <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1705993' first='Trace' last='Johnson']</strong>, a transfer from Buchholz High in Florida and he recently committed to Tulane. USC commit [player_tooltip player_id='283690' first='Trent' last='Mosley'] leads the receiving corps with UCLA commit [player_tooltip player_id='283630' first='Jonah' last='Smith'] who missed much of last season with an injury.
