Reis is a high IQ LB that has a great nose for the football. Plays bigger than his 5’10” 180 lb. frame to disrupt opponents as a run stopper and dropping into coverage. Quick processing ability, he makes decisive reads and reacts with speed. Recognizes blocking schemes and offensive flow to anticipate ball location and fill lanes, makes a ton of plays at or behind the LOS. Strong fundamentals, he’s calculated with his movement to limit wasted steps and take efficient angles to the ball carrier. Does a good job maintaining leverage in pursuit to not overrun the ball while eliminating the cutback. Strong at the POA he’s aggressive through contact and finishes ball carriers to the ground with force. Finished the 2025 season with 103 total tackles (44 solo), 12 tackles for loss, and 3 sacks.

Reis led Palos Verdes with 103 tackles, 12 for a loss, three sacks, a forced fumble, two fumble recoveries and an interception. He earned All-Area honors from the Daily Breeze.

Reis checks into our rankings as one of the top linebackers in the state and is a top 50 overall player in California in the 2028 class. He is extremely athletic for the position and is a true sideline to sideline defender that runs to the ball, tackles well in space and is violent at the point of attack. He shows he can move through or around blockers with good bend and violent hands while knifing into the backfield and dialing up well timed pressures. He flows to the ball and flashes cover abilities downfield while a high IQ player that recognizes plays quickly and triggers fast. He is another very technically sound prospect the plays well beyond his years and with three years left of his high school career, should draw plenty of college interest/offers in the coming months.

Reis is one of the top players in his class across the state, and is coming off a stellar state championship winning first season for Palos Verdes. He is a true plug in the middle of the defense that plays violent inside, can fill gaps quickly and has a knack for getting into the backfield. He shows a quick trigger against the run, can take on blocks and bend around bigger blockers while exploding through contact at the POA and has elite closing speed, tackling abilities and power on contact. He reads flow well when pursuing backside, and can perform well timed pressures when applying pressure both from the middle or out on the edge and offers good position versatility at either inside or outside linebacker. A 100+ tackle kid already, he should start seeing offers roll in sooner rather than later.
