<p><strong>1. Dowling Catholic</strong> <strong>(4-1) </strong>– The Maroons cruised to a 37-0 victory against visiting Des Moines Roosevelt Friday in what was a calmer week throughout 5A. Senior [player_tooltip player_id='847998' first='Rashawd' last='Davis']<a href="https://prepredzone.com/player/rashawd-davis/"></a> carried nine times for 92 yards and three touchdowns, and added a 54-yard kick return. Parker DePhillips enjoyed another efficient game, completing 7 of 9 passes for 138 yards and a TD without an interception with [player_tooltip player_id='1619623' first='Sam' last='Drexler'] catching two passes for for 76 yards and a score. Leo Pagano delivered four solo tackles, including one for loss, and [player_tooltip player_id='1320139' first='Will' last='Barreto'] and Kyle Schumacher each intercepted a pass. Connor Larson averaged 46.5 yards on a pair of punts. </p>

<p><strong>2. West Des Moines Valley (4-1) – </strong>The Tigers recorded their third win in a row on Friday night at Ames, 49-14. They led, 42-0, at halftime. Xzavion Robinson caught two balls for 47 yards and a score, and returned a kickoff 95 yards to the house. <p><strong>4. Bettendorf</strong> <strong>(5-0) –</strong> The Bulldogs picked up a 30-12 win at Dubuque Hempstead Friday night. <p><strong>6. Iowa City Liberty (4-1) – </strong>The Lightning and its high-powered offensive attack continues climbing the rankings after Friday's 26-21 win against visiting Cedar Rapids Prairie. Reece Rettig threw for 156 yards and two touchdowns against no interceptions, [player_tooltip player_id='1278898' first='Owen' last='Drapeaux'] scored twice on the ground, and [player_tooltip player_id='988861' first='Sutton' last='Koller'] caught a pair of TDs and picked off a pass. Landon Vander Werff and [player_tooltip player_id='401671' first='Drew' last='Thompson'] teamed up for 140 yards and three TDs on 10 carries.
