The Prep Redzone 7v7 circuit made it’s way through Oklahoma this weekend as the second annual Sooner State Shootout took place in Broken Arrow. We had a great weekend of football and saw so many players at all levels making plays both days. Congratulations to our champions of the tournament! TheUNIT Platinum continued their dominant offseason by winning the 18U title. Sooner 7 took home the 15U and 14U championships and had a runner up finish in 12U while Level Up 7v7 would win that 12U crown but they also had teams make the 18U and 15U championship games.

In this post, we’re putting the spotlight on Sooner 7 and some of the top standouts from their top two teams in the 18U division.
Bishop McGuinness 2026 athlete Andrew Harris Andrew Harris 6’4″ | 220 lbs | ATH Bishop McGuinness | 2026 State OK is a very intriguing prospect to watch moving forward. He certainly fits the “jumbo athlete” category where he plays close to the line of scrimmage with good size and athleticism. Throughout the weekend, Harris impressed us on the defensive side of the ball. He did a good job as a linebacker, reading the quarterback and knowing where to be. Harris is a prospect that has a lot of promise moving forward. He not only impressed us, but a few other media members in attendance. Harris is going to be a name to watch moving forward throughout the rest of the 7v7 circuit and into the summer.
Highlights
Sapulpa 2025 wide receiver Dakota Chaney Dakota Chaney 5’10” | 170 lbs | ATH Sapulpa | 2025 State OK really impressed us once again this weekend. Chaney always finds a way to get open in these 7v7 tournaments. Chaney finds the weak spot in the opposing defense and sits down. The Sapulpa standout was able to showcase that skillset multiple times while we were watching on Saturday morning. This was the second straight weekend that we’ve seen Chaney and Sooner 7 after he did the same thing in Springfield the weekend before. He’s going to be a prospect to watch in the 2025 class. He continues to improve his overall speed and has some very reliable hands and route running.
Highlights
Grove 2026 wide receiver Isaac Sheffield Isaac Sheffield 6’3″ | WR Grove | 2026 State OK got off to a fast start during the tournament on Saturday and earned top performer honors for his performance in pool play. We’ve seen Sooner 7 quite a bit but this was the first tournament that Sheffield really shined while we were watching. He played well last week in Springfield but it looked like he elevated his game in Broken Arrow. Early on in the tourney, Sheffield emerged as one of the top wide receivers for Sooner 7’s Bravo team. Sheffield has good size and athleticism and it felt like he was catching everything thrown his way. He’s going to be a name to watch moving forward in the 2026 class.
Muskogee 2025 quarterback Jamarian Ficklin Jamarian Ficklin 6’1″ | 180 lbs | QB Muskogee | 2025 State OK is definitely a top two quarterback in the state and he might not be two at this point. Ficklin put on an absolute show once again this weekend and he simply does things with his arm that we haven’t seen very often. And that’s not just our opinion. That was the consensus from opposing coaches, other workers and game officials throughout the weekend. We covered Ficklin last month during our ranking updates and our belief in the Muskogee standout is sky high. Ficklin is an outstanding quarterback that had a great weekend. Every time we had eyes on him, he was making big throw after big throw.
Choctaw 2025 standouts JuJu Smith JuJu Smith 5’8″ | ATH Choctaw | 2025 State OK has been a 2025 prospect that we’ve written about countless times following these 7v7 tournaments. Smith has been a star for years now and it seems like every time we see him in person, whether it’s in 7v7 tourneys, team camps or games in the fall, Smith is routinely one of the best players on the field. And whether it’s offense or defense, Smith always has an impact. This weekend, Smith was outstanding on the offensive side of the ball. He became one of Ficklin’s top targets and was just as dangerous down the field or turning a small play into a big play. Smith is a prospect that needs more attention.
We tweeted this out during the weekend but Lincoln Christian 2026 wide receiver Malakai Dillard Malakai Dillard 6’0″ | ATH Lincoln Christian | 2026 State OK is a star in the making. He started showing that last fall when he helped lead the Bulldogs to a state championship. And this weekend, Dillard was Ficklin’s top target in the passing game. We watched Sooner 7’s Alpha team for multiple games and Dillard seemed to be always open. He was without a doubt one of the best wide receivers that competed this weekend. Big plays, touchdowns and much more made him one of this weekend’s best. Dillard is also a standout on the baseball diamond but his stock in football continues to rise.
Morrison 2025 quarterback Mason Schubert Mason Schubert 6’2″ | 195 lbs | QB Morrison | 2025 State OK ran the offense for Sooner 7’s Bravo team on Saturday and Sunday. I got a chance to see Schubert for at least two games during pool play on Saturday and he impressed. The lefty was slinging the ball all over the field and he was putting the ball in a spot that only his receivers could go up and make the catch. Schubert is another member of the state’s absolutely loaded 2025 quarterback class. As we’ve mentioned all week with the quarterbacks, they were having to manage the game despite windy conditions. It never really impacted Schubert while we were watching on Saturday.
