The Prep Redzone High School Combine series continued this weekend in Oklahoma and high school standouts brought it on Saturday. We had some outstanding talent all across the state of Oklahoma and even some of the surrounding states. We’ll have a ton of coverage from the event dropping on Prep Redzone! In this post, we’re putting the spotlight on the running back position. We had another great group of running backs this weekend and they all brought something different to the table. This group ended up doing a good job during the competition portion of camp. Shawnee 2025 running back Dace Shaw Dace Shaw 6'1" | 170 lbs | ATH Shawnee | 2025 State OK was covered earlier this week in our positional MVP article.
Lawton MacArthur 2027 running back Connor Claborn Connor Claborn 5’9″ | 155 lbs | RB Lawton Macarthur | 2027 OK is another good example of why we enjoy doing these camps. Claborn was someone we didn’t know coming into the weekend and he ended up becoming one of the better prospects in his position group. Claborn tested really well in every drill and then went to work in the positional drills and in competition. We got a good chance to watch the running backs going against linebackers throughout the afternoon and it felt like Claborn was getting the best of his opponent each time. If you’ve followed our coverage this offseason, you know we really like Lawton Mac this fall. Claborn is yet another playmaker to watch.

Another 2027 running back that is now on our radar is Jescee Sanders Jescee Sanders 5’9″ | 190 lbs | RB Salina | 2027 OK out of Salina. Sanders isn’t the only 2027 standout from Salina that is on our radar but he’s the newest guy that we’ll be keeping an eye on moving forward. We didn’t know much of anything about Sanders prior to the camp but he immediately caught our attention during the competition portion of the camp. It felt like every time Sanders was going one on one with a linebacker, he was getting the best of him and he was doing it in a variety of ways. He could create instant separation with quick cuts but he also made plenty of contested catches. Sanders wasn’t on our radar before but he definitely is now and moving forward.

Out of all the running backs in attendance, we knew the most about Collinsville 2026 standout Scott Rigby Scott Rigby 5’11” | ATH Collinsville | 2026 State OK and he backed up the hype throughout the afternoon. Rigby ran a great time in the 40-yard dash and immediately caught our attention. Rigby would then go on to have a very successful camp. Last year, Rigby was a breakout player in the Collinsville offense and we think that he’s only going to get better from here. As we head into the 2024 season, Rigby is going to have a chance to be one of the more productive running backs in Class 5A. So it was no surprise on Saturday that Rigby ended up being one of the best running backs in attendance. He should have a big junior season.
