Wynnewood running back Caden Knighten Caden Knighten 6’1″ | 180 lbs | RB Wynnewood | 2025 State OK was one of the absolute best football players in the state during his sophomore season in 2022. In 2023, he tried to do everything he could but eventually had to shut it down because of nagging injuries that limited the impact he could have. Looking ahead, Knighten is going to be incredibly hungry to get back on the field and reestablish himself as one of the top football players in Oklahoma. Knighten has been a state champion on the track and last spring he wasn’t even 100 percent. We are looking forward to when he gets back to that point because when he’s there, not many in Oklahoma can touch him.
Edmond Santa Fe running back Demarius Robinson Demarius Robinson 5’9″ | 165 lbs | RB Edmond Santa Fe | 2025 State OK was a breakout star during his freshman season. His sophomore year was cut short due to injury but when he came back in 2023, he came back with a vengeance. Robinson became one of the top overall players in the state and he was arguably the best player in 6A-1 football last fall. It didn’t matter what team they were going up against, Robinson could not be stopped. He had a stretch during four weeks where he averaged 300 yards per game. Robinson has seen his recruitment take off in the last three months and that’s no surprise. He was one of the best in the state last season and wants more.
Highlights
Lawton Eisenhower running back Rashaud Hurt Rashaud Hurt 6’1″ | RB Lawton Eisenhower | 2025 State OK is in the same boat as Knighten and perhaps they can both look at Robinson as examples of that comeback story. Hurt tore his ACL in 2023 and his junior season was done before it could ever get momentum. The last time we saw Hurt in person, he was without a doubt one of the best players on the field at the Choctaw team camp. Hurt is going to definitely be a player to watch for Lawton Ike this fall as they make the move up to 6A-2. We think that they could certainly be a playoff team and perhaps a dark horse for much more. With Hurt healthy, however ironic that is, he could have a big 2024 season.
Bartlesville running back PJ Wallace PJ Wallace 6’1″ | RB Muskogee | 2025 State OK first got on our radar prior to his sophomore season and our opinion has only gone up from there. Wallace was outstanding as a sophomore and then took his game to another level last season. Whether it was running the ball or catching the ball, Wallace was without a doubt one of the best playmakers in 6A-2 football in 2023. As we look ahead to the 2024 season, Wallace belongs in that conversation with some of the other running backs that already have offers. It seems more like a matter of when and not if Wallace will see his recruitment take off. There is no doubt that he has the skills to play at the next level.
Highlights
Idabel running back Ravian Larry Ravian Larry 6’1″ | RB Idabel | 2025 State OK is in a similar boat to Knighten, Robinson and Hurt. He’s looking to have a full senior season where he isn’t bitten by the injury bug. After an outstanding freshman season in 2021, it looked like Larry was going to be an absolute star for the Warriors. While he’s still been one of their best players over the last few seasons, there’s no doubt that injuries have limited the impact that he has been able to have. When healthy, Larry is right there with some of the other top running backs in the state. Idabel could have a very special 2024 season and if he’s healthy, look for Larry to get back to the standout that we saw a few years ago.
