On Saturday and Sunday, Prep Redzone begins to change the game in travel 7v7 tournaments! The Sooner State Shootout will begin at 9AM at Nienhuis Park in Broken Arrow and it’s the first tournament run exclusively by Prep Redzone. 65 times will be on hand and we are going to have some outstanding competition from start to finish. The action will get started on Saturday at 9AM with the 15U and 12U divisions. The 14U division will begin later on in the morning and the main event will be the 18U division starting at 1PM and pool play will wrap up at 6PM. Sunday will be bracket play where it’s win or go home and champions will be crowned in all four divisions. Don’t miss out on a great event, some outstanding players and can’t miss football.
Below, we take a look at some of the top Oklahoma prospects that will be playing this weekend. It’s headlined by the top two overall prospects in the state’s 2024 class as well as the top two overall prospects in the state’s 2026 class. Four of the top ten 2025 prospects will also be on hand throughout the weekend. And this is just scratching the surface on all of the in-state talent that will be on display. Not to mention all of the outstanding players coming in from different states.
Top 2024 Oklahoma Prospects
The state’s top overall prospect in our 2024 rankings is NOAH’s Daniel Okoye Daniel Okoye 6’4″ | 225 lbs | DL NOAH | 2024 State OK and the freak athlete will be in attendance while playing with one of Sooner 7’s teams. Okoye is one of the best defensive ends in the country but he will be used this weekend as a tight end and that athletic prowess will be on full display throughout the two days in Broken Arrow. Whenever you’re talking about recruiting and prospects, the “eye test” usually gets brought up. There are few prospects that pass that “eye test” more than Okoye.
Right behind Okoye is Durant defensive lineman XaDavien Sims XaDavien Sims 6’4″ | 275 lbs | DL Durant | 2024 State OK and these two guys are hands down the top overall prospects in the state’s 2024 class. Not only are they top Oklahoma prospects, they are true national prospects, with offers from top college programs all over the country. Sims will be in a similar role to Okoye where he’ll play tight end for one of the C4 teams but he’s also shown in previous tournaments that he can turn around and play a little linebacker. Watching a big man like Sims run is going to be fun to watch.
Sulphur standout Damontre Patterson Damontre Patterson 5’10” | 145 lbs | WR Sulphur | 2024 State OK will be one of the top track guys in attendance this weekend. He is one of the top sprinters in the state and he’s continued his transition from defensive back to wide receiver. He’s playing with the C4 team that also features XaDavien Sims XaDavien Sims 6’4″ | 275 lbs | DL Durant | 2024 State OK . Patterson spent last season at Ada and now he’s moved to Sulphur and the Bulldogs look like a strong team in Class 3A this offseason. Patterson is a dynamic athlete that we are looking forward to watching throughout the weekend to see that speed.
Highlights
We’ve written about Poteau standout Dax Collins Dax Collins 6’2″ | 180 lbs | ATH Poteau | 2024 State OK quite a bit over the last year and he’s one of the top players that we’re looking forward to seeing in person this weekend. Collins is the definition of a football player. He will play anywhere on the field and make plays from that position. While we like him primarily as a running back, his ability on the defensive side of the ball can’t be ignored. We’ve compared him to OU signee Erik McCarty Erik McCarty 6’2″ | 175 lbs | DB McAlester | 2023 State OK quite a bit over the last six months and we’re looking forward to seeing that type of playmaking ability in person.
Highlights
It was probably around this time two years ago that we first saw Union wide receiver Jino Boyd Jino Boyd 6’0″ | WR Union | 2024 State OK in person and it was at a 7v7 tournament with 918 Elite. Boyd is going to be one of the best wide receivers at the event this weekend. It doesn’t matter who they go up against, Boyd finds a way to get open and make plays. As a sophomore and junior, Boyd also led Union in receiving and is primed for a big senior season. His recruitment is starting to take off as well and we’re looking forward to seeing how many plays he makes this weekend.
Yet another C4 standout to watch will be Classen SAS wide receiver Elijah Green Elijah Green 6’2″ | 180 lbs | WR Classen SAS @ Ne | 2024 State OK and he’s going to give them a big play threat at the wide receiver position. Green has received power five offers and his recruitment feels like it’s about to explode this spring and summer. Green is one of the more underrated playmakers in the state’s 2024 class. He doesn’t get as much credit as he deserves but that is going to be changing this year. Green is an outstanding athlete who catches just about everything that’s thrown his way.

We continue the trend of 2024 prospects that are rocketing up the rankings in the state, Southeast running back and Oklahoma State commit Rodney Fields Rodney Fields 6’0″ | RB Del City | 2024 State OK is another example of that. We’ve already seen Fields stand out for Sooner 7 in two 7v7 tournaments this offseason. Not only is he a match-up nightmare for linebackers trying to keep up with Fields in the open field, but an underrated part of what he can do in 7v7 is turn around and play linebacker. He’s made plenty of plays on defense as well. But it’s what he does on offense that is worth the price of admission.
Speaking of players that are worth the price of admission. Just take our word on this one. Muskogee standout wide receiver and safety Kayden McGee Kayden McGee 6’1″ | WR Muskogee | 2024 State OK has to be at the top of the list for overall playmakers. As we’ve written about in the past, all McGee does is make some of the biggest plays that you’ll see in the tournament. On offense, McGee was a touchdown machine for Muskogee last year but his continued improvement as a safety is a reason to be excited about him moving forward. It’s not a matter of “if” he’ll make a big play, it’s when and how many?
The last time we saw Moore defensive back Corey Dean Corey Dean 6’0″ | 180 lbs | DB Moore | 2024 State OK at the Nienhuis Park football complex was last month when Dean earned MVP honors for the defensive back position at our camp. So when Dean returns this weekend with OBoyz, he should feel right at home and get right back into locking down opposing wide receivers. Dean is a cornerback on the rise in the state’s 2024 class and he’s definitely not lacking confidence in his game. And that confidence is a trait that cornerbacks need to have to be successful.

Our final 2024 prospect is yet another player that will be playing for C4 this weekend. Southern Oklahoma has some serious firepower this year. Piedmont standout Cannon Wood Cannon Wood 6’1″ | 215 lbs | ATH Piedmont | 2024 State OK is an outstanding athlete that had a great junior season as a running back and as a linebacker. Wood feels like another example of a prospect that is about to see his recruitment explode. He earned All State honors for his performance on both sides of the ball last year and he has the speed to be an absolute playmaker this weekend.

Top 2025 Oklahoma Prospects
We mentioned Corey Dean Corey Dean 6’0″ | 180 lbs | DB Moore | 2024 State OK feeling right at home at Nienhuis Park after earning MVP honors at our camp last month. At that same camp, Wynnewood 2025 standout Caden Knighten Caden Knighten 6’1″ | 180 lbs | RB Wynnewood | 2025 State OK earned MVP honors at the running back position. Knighten was also a finalist for our 2022 Player Of The Year award. Knighten is a dynamic athlete that is another offensive weapon for the C4 football program. We’re looking forward to seeing what he can do in the open field this weekend. He showcased quite a bit of speed at our camp last month.
Union quarterback Shaker Reisig Shaker Reisig 6’0″ | 185 lbs | QB Union | 2025 State OK is the first of three quarterbacks that are top ten prospects in the 2025 class. Reisig is an absolute magician in the 7v7 space. With no concerns about a rush coming after him, Reisig can just stand back there and slice and dice the opposing defense. As we’ve mentioned plenty of times before, Reisig is so methodical with the football and he never seems to make a mistake. He’ll be leading one of the Sooner 7 teams and with him at quarterback, they have to be considered a contender.
Deer Creek quarterback Grady Adamson Grady Adamson 6’1″ | 215 lbs | QB Deer Creek | 2025 State OK is the next top 2025 quarterback and he’ll be taking the field for one of Northwest Elite’s 18U squads. Adamson had a breakout sophomore season in his first year as Deer Creek’s QB1. After that sophomore year, he emerged as one of the better quarterbacks in the class, and this is a very special quarterback class in Oklahoma. Adamson can fire missiles all over the field but most of our history with him is based on film. This will be our second chance to see him in person against good competition.
Highlights
And we go back to Sooner 7 with our last quarterback. Muskogee sophomore Jamarian Ficklin Jamarian Ficklin 6’1″ | 180 lbs | QB Muskogee | 2025 State OK enjoyed a breakout season last fall. The story of the 2022 Muskogee Roughers has been well documented at this point and it begins with the emergence of Ficklin as a legitimate star at the quarterback position. This is going to be our first time seeing Ficklin since the end of his sophomore season and we’re looking forward to seeing the improvement in his game this weekend. Just like Reisig, Ficklin is capable of leading his Sooner 7 team far this weekend.
Carl Albert’s 2025 class is absolutely exploding with talent. One of those prospects is wide receiver and defensive back Trystan Haynes Trystan Haynes 6’2″ | 165 lbs | ATH Carl Albert | 2025 State OK following his breakout sophomore season. Haynes has become a true Power Five prospect in the last month as more teams see the type of athlete he is. We’ve made this comparison before when it comes to Haynes. We saw the Titans four times in person last fall and we kept confusing Haynes for 2023 standout Tashawn James Tashawn James 6’2″ | DB Carl Albert | 2023 State OK . Haynes is just scratching the surface on what he’s going to be.
Top 2026 Oklahoma Prospects
Durant freshman Colton Yarbrough Colton Yarbrough 6’5″ | 210 lbs | DL Durant | 2026 State OK is currently the number one overall prospect in the state’s 2026 class as a defensive end. Just like with Sims in the 2024 class, Yarbrough will be playing for C4 and it’s going to be fun to watch in a 7v7 setting. Yarbrough was the first 2026 prospect to earn D1 and Power Five offers. And he earned those offers before he even entered high school. He certainly passes the eye test and is just scratching the surface on his athleticism. We’re looking forward to seeing how he’s used this weekend.
Right behind Yarbrough is Broken Arrow star running back KD Jones KD Jones 6’0″ | 170 lbs | ATH Jenks | 2026 State OK as the number two overall prospect in the state. He’ll be suiting up for The Unit 918 and his dad, former Jenks and OU standout Kejuan Jones. The freshman from Broken Arrow earned PRZ Freshman Of The Year honors after running for more than 1,000 yards last season. He’s going to have a chance to rewrite the record book at Broken Arrow when it’s all said and done. It’s hard not to be excited about the potential of Jones and we’re looking forward to seeing him this weekend.
Surprise surprise, Sooner 7 has another top ten overall prospect at quarterback with Southmoore standout Cruz Campbell Cruz Campbell 6’0″ | 180 lbs | QB Tuttle | 2026 State OK on one of their younger teams. Campbell emerged as QB1 for Southmoore last season and as a team, it was a season to forget as they struggled in the win-loss column. But with such a young team and Campbell leading the way at quarterback, this is a team to keep an eye on moving forward. Campbell showed steady improvement throughout the season and we’re looking forward to seeing him in person in BA.
Highlights
It’s back to the C4 program for our next prospect to look out for this weekend. Hugo standout Quincy Shelton Quincy Shelton 6’0″ | WR Hugo | 2026 State OK is one of the top wide receiver and defensive backs in the state’s 2026 class. We have him listed as a wide receiver because that’s where he got his start with Hugo last fall but he eventually became a two-way starter. Now, he’s listed on the C4 roster for this weekend, but we might only see him Sunday. He’s also a standout on the basketball floor and Hugo is playing for a regional championship Saturday night.
Another quarterback we’re looking forward to watching is Sand Springs freshman Easton Webb Easton Webb 6’4″ | 205 lbs | QB Charles Page | 2026 State OK as he is on the roster for OBoyz and their 18U team. Just like Campbell at Southmoore, Webb earned his way on to the field as a freshman and went through plenty of growing pains. But he certainly has all the tools to be a top quarterback in the state’s 2026 class. But last month, Webb announced that he was committing to Oklahoma State for baseball. He’s an outstanding baseball prospect but he’s also looking like one in football as well.
