is one of our favorite prospects to come out of this 2024 class and there’s a simple explanation. Big plays. Every time we’ve seen McGee in person over the last three seasons, whether it’s at Muskogee or in 7v7 tournaments, he always makes a play or two (or three) that makes us say wow. He’s a special talent that has made a massive jump from when he was a freshman and sophomore to where he is now. He committed to UNLV over the summer and eventually signed with the Rebels. We’re fired up to see what kind of production he can have in their offense.

is one of the best wide receivers in the state. This season, he has over 1,000 yards receiving and has well over 20 receiving touchdowns in the last two years. We’ve mentioned this before with McGee, but just in case you’re new here, McGee is one of the best players in the biggest moments. It seems like every time we’ve seen the Muskogee standout in person, he makes one of the biggest plays in the game. He is a big play machine and with the Roughers one win from a state title, expect McGee to shine bright.

has been one of the best wide receivers in the state over the last two seasons. Last week, McGee eclipsed 1,000 receiving yards on the year and he has been Ficklin’s top target for two years now. McGee committed to UNLV this summer but he also picked up an offer from Tulsa last week. And when you’re looking at the semifinal round, this is a massive stage. And McGee is one of the top playmakers in the state when it comes to making big plays. And you know what they say about big time players in big time games.

is a big reason why. McGee has been playing for Muskogee over the last several seasons and has turned into an absolute star. When you compare where McGee and the Roughers were two years ago to where they are now, it’s a night and day difference. McGee has turned into an absolute star for the Roughers and they have gone from 2-8 in 2021 to the top-ranked team in Class 6A-2 this season. McGee is one of the best wide receivers in the state but he has also added the ability to be a ball hawk on defense. This summer, McGee announced his commitment to UNLV and their new staff full of coaches with Oklahoma ties. But McGee’s recruitment has continued to pick up this fall as he has become one of the more versatile athletes in the state’s 2024 class

When you look at the stats, it’s actually been somewhat of a quiet season for Muskogee senior wide receiver

but it’s only a matter of time before the star receiver has another “wow” moment. McGee still has nearly 800 receiving yards and eight touchdowns but we imagine that production per game is going to go up in the final two weeks of the regular season and when the playoffs begin. Last season, McGee emerged as one of the best wide receivers in the state. Between playing at Muskogee and then with Sooner 7 in the offseason, we’ve probably seen McGee more than almost any other receiver in the state. We’re very familiar with his game and we’ve been fans for a while now. As the Roughers start preparing for that playoff push, we think McGee will remind the state why his nickname is “Big Play”.

will play a pivotal role in Friday’s game. There’s a saying in football. Big time players make big time plays in big time games. McGee has the nickname of “big play” and we could see him produce some fireworks on Friday night. McGee is going to be Ficklin’s top target in the passing game and he’ll also play an important role on the defensive side of the ball. We’ve made no secret about our opinion of McGee. He is one of the absolute best playmakers in the state of Oklahoma and Friday is a big platform for him to perform again.

than us over the last two years. McGee has been one of the top playmakers for Sooner 7 during the offseason so we’ve gotten a chance to see him up close quite a bit. Last year, he put everything together as he became one of the top wide receivers in Class 6A-2 and even showed he can become a D1 prospect on the defensive side of the ball. The 2024 star led Muskogee in receiving with over 700 yards and 14 touchdowns. What’s wild is he only had 37 receptions on the season. He averaged a touchdown somewhere between two and three catches on the year. It goes without saying, but the Ficklin to McGee duo is arguably the best and most productive QB-WR duos in the state, regardless of class.

is probably near the very top of prospects we’ve written about over the last 18 months when you consider in-season, 7v7 tournaments and general offseason events. And as we’ve routinely said, it’s incredibly hard to write about McGee without mentioning how he’s a highlight play waiting to happen. During the offseason in between his sophomore and junior seasons, McGee would start working on his skills at the defensive back position and it has paid off. In addition to being recruited as a wide receiver, McGee has also earned offers for what he can provide to the defensive side of the ball. There aren’t many 2024 prospects in Oklahoma that have multiple D1 offers for different positions but McGee is in that group. And he’s going to be leading a Muskogee team this fall that might be the very best in Class 6A-2.

is one of the top playmakers in Oklahoma today. Just like Chalk, McGee is a prospect that we’ve watched in countless 7v7 tournaments while playing with Sooner 7. And just like Chalk, every single time we watch McGee, he is one of the top playmakers on the field. That played out throughout the camp in Owasso and while he continues to be a highly regarded wide receiver in the state’s 2024 class, he is also seeing his stock start to rise as a defensive back. McGee is going to come into this fall as one of the top two-way stars in Oklahoma.

seems to always be near the top of the list when you talk about players that shined bright. And in most of the recent 7v7 tournaments, we’ve talked about all McGee has done was make big plays. This past weekend, McGee was once again one of the top playmakers on both sides of the ball but it feels like he was at his absolute best during this tournament. Now we don’t have official numbers or stats but we would assume that McGee was at his absolute most productive during this tournament. On offense, McGee was a big play threat at the wide receiver position. On defense, he was an absolute ball hawk at the safety position. He continues to be one of the best two-way playmakers in Oklahoma’s 2024 class and he’s having a lights out offseason.
