has emerged as a legitimate prospect for the next level over the last 18 months. We didn’t know much about Swanson prior to last season. But he had a strong junior season and carried that momentum over to the offseason. We saw him quite a bit while he was playing with Sooner 7 in various 7v7 tournaments and he was routinely one of the better cover corners in those tourneys. And Swanson will play a big role for Muskogee on Friday afternoon. He’ll look to take away Stillwater’s top target in the passing game.

and it’s hard not to be impressed with the work that Swanson has put in during the last two tournaments. Swanson was once again one of the better cover corners that we watched throughout the weekend in Plano. As we always mention when it comes to 7v7 tournaments, the defensive players have to be special to really stand out as 7v7 is naturally an offensive player’s game. But Swanson has put back to back tournaments in where he has been outstanding at the cornerback position and he’s a prospect in the 2024 class that we definitely want to see more of as the we get further into the spring months. Swanson is a really good athlete and does a good job sticking to his man and making a play on the ball at the right time. He also showed some leaping ability on some big plays down the field as well to prevent touchdowns.
