made a huge jump up the rankings in the latest update and when this update came out, we also shifted his position to include linebacker as well as defensive back. Because when it comes to Stone, that’s what he is. He’s one of the best definitions of a “hybrid” position on the defensive side of the ball. Whether he’s lining up closer to the line of scrimmage or further back in pass coverage, we don’t see much drop off with his skillset in either position. Earlier this year, Stone was committed to Princeton but has reopened his recruitment and it makes sense when some of the offers that he’s received came rolling in. Stone is going to get an opportunity to play major college football somewhere and make that team better.

earned All State 3rd Team honors last season and is one of the top defenders returning in 6A-1 football this season. Stone was near the top of the charts in terms of tackles and he’s a defender that brings a lot of versatility to the Jenks defense. He is comfortable in several different spots on the field and that gives defensive coordinator Adam Gaylor a lot of room to work with and allow other players to step up. Stone is definitely going to be a name to watch this season as he looks to emerge not only as one of 6A-1’s top defenders but one of the best in the state. It won’t be surprising if Stone earns All State honors once again this fall.

is another newcomer to the rankings and we have him currently listed as a defensive back but there’s a lot of versatility to his game. He’s just as comfortable coming down and lining up at linebacker as he is backing up into the secondary and playing safety. Stone was a big part of the Jenks defense last season and had an outstanding performance in the state championship game. He’s one of several starters that return for a Jenks defense that could be the best in 6A-1 this fall. Stone certainly appears to be a next level talent but the only question surrounds the position. What will be his natural spot in college?

It feels like the majority of the players on this breakdown have been on the defensive side of the ball. And for good reason, the Trojans have the reputation of being one of, if not the best defensive units in the state. One of the breakout stars this fall on that side of the ball has been junior

as a hybrid defensive back that can come up and help out the linebackers. Stone is in the same boat as McInelly at the linebacker position. Both have become breakout players for the Jenks defense this season and both have well over 100 tackles on the season. Stone has a high upside moving forward on this Jenks defense.
