You can make the argument that there’s not another prospect in this class that is as red hot as this one. With the way recruiting has been working over the past five years, by the time a prospect starts their senior season, it’s somewhat unlikely that they will pick up new offers. That’s the norm but Jenks defensive lineman

has definitely bucked that trend. Jacobsen was committed to South Dakota State but he’s reopened his recruitment and the offers have really started to stack up. Oklahoma, Oklahoma State and USC just to name a few over the last month alone. Jacobsen has been a prospect that we’ve liked since he was a freshman but he missed time early with injuries. He’s more than made up for that lost time to become the top available prospect right now.

is one of the top rated defensive linemen in the state’s 2025 class. And there’s no doubt that he’ll be the name to watch on the line of scrimmage on defense with how much impact he has now that he’s healthy. But Jacobsen is also going to be playing on both sides as the Trojans are looking for Jacobsen to play on the offensive line too. And he had a good spring, lining up primarily at left tackle. As we mentioned earlier, the Trojans need the offensive line to come together and having a force like Jacobsen stepping up should help them, especially early on in the season. Jacobsen could be one of the top two-way linemen in 6A-1 this fall.

is another 2025 prospect that has been on our radar since shortly after his freshman season. But Jacobsen had to wait until 2023 to have that breakout moment after his sophomore season was limited because of injuries. However, Jacobsen had that breakout moment last fall and became arguably the state’s top interior defensive lineman prospect in the state’s 2025 class. He’s an absolute monster up front and this spring, he even got some work on the offensive side of the ball. Jacobsen is a big prospect but he’s also very athletic and has much more to his game than just strength and size. Earlier this month, he committed to South Dakota State.

joining Ball along the front for the Trojans this fall. We’ve said this a few times but Jacobsen was a prospect that we were fired up to see after his freshman season. His sophomore year ended with an injury and he came back with a vengeance last fall. Jacobsen is a lane clogger up the middle in the Jenks defensive line. He is a powerful prospect that does so many different things well. Jacobsen’s stats aren’t going to blow you away but when you look at his film or in person, you see the impact he has as he is opening things up for guys like Ball or the talented linebackers to make a play.

was on our radar prior to his sophomore season. He seemed to be primed for a breakout 2022 season but the Trojans had an injury-plagued 2022 year and Jacobsen was one of the players that went down. But he came back in 2023 and was a critical part of a Jenks defense that was one of the better units in the state. The Jenks front seven was outstanding to watch and Jacobsen was a terror on the interior of that defensive line. Jacobsen finally got that breakout season and with the majority of their starters returning in 2024, don’t be surprised to see the Jenks defense continue to be one of the best units in the state this year.

was a 2025 prospect that we liked a lot prior to the 2022 season. But the Trojans were snake bit by injuries everywhere last season and Jacobsen was one of the casualties of that. This season, he has made up for the lost time and has been an impact player right in the middle of the Jenks defensive line. From the handful of times that we’ve seen Jenks in person this season, Jacobsen is a run stuffer up the middle and we’re looking forward to seeing what he can do against a very talented and experienced Bixby offensive line. He’s a dominant presence on the interior of the defensive line.

is the other Jenks Trojan standout on this breakdown. And it’s good to see Jacobsen back on the field this season after he missed almost all of his sophomore season with a knee injury. Jacobsen is a defensive lineman prospect that we first started paying attention to following his freshman season. He appeared to be primed for a breakout season last fall until an injury sidelined him. But this season, Jacobsen has made up for lost time and has been a strong defensive tackle prospect for the Trojans. There is a lot to like about him as a prospect and as he gets more reps on the field, it’s only a matter of time before his recruitment starts to take off. The Trojans have a mean front with both Ball and Jacobsen lining up along the defensive line.

along the defensive line. The Trojans were absolutely torched with injuries in 2022 and they are hopeful for a new slate in 2023. At this time last year, we thought that Jacobsen was primed for a breakout year along the defensive front for the Trojans. But he could never get any momentum in that regard. But coming into this season, he has that momentum going and as long as he stays healthy, he’s going to be a game-wrecker up front. Jacobsen really impressed us when we watched the Trojans back in the spring and he will absolutely terrorize some opposing offensive linemen. The Trojans lost a bit up front so Jacobsen is going to give them an immediate boost.

remains one of the higher rated defensive linemen in the state’s 2025 class but we’re excited about the 2023 season for him. The Jenks big man had his 2022 cut short to injury. The Trojans dealt with a big injury problem throughout their roster and Jacobsen was one of those casualties. But as he gets back to 100 percent and gets on the field this fall, we have a feeling that he’ll be a breakout star. That’s what we would have predicted for him last fall prior to the injury problems. The Trojans routinely have some stout guys up front and next year will be no different with Jacobsen. The last consistent and meaningful football Jacobsen played was in the fall of 2021 so needless to say, he’s going to be itching to get back in the pads and onto the football field.
