Expert Analysis
Matt Morrow | Prep Redzone Scout
I wanted to highlight Perry because coming into this season, he is the clear favorite to start and lead the Mavericks’ offense. Even though Mallard Creek lost over 40 seniors, they are favored to be a contender because of some young talent moving up to varsity from a strong junior varsity program. Perry’s dual-threat ability this year I think, will be put fully on display, and you will see a special player that can help carry the Mavericks to some strong victories this upcoming season.

Justice doesn’t have a ton of varsity film, but played well last season. In camp settings this spring, he’s proven himself accurate and has held his own against some other established passers. That helped him move from the watchlist to the rankings this update, with the potential to move up further in the fall.

Justice played a decent amount as a junior, displaying good touch on his passes. Playing in a difficult conference, he’s shown good footwork in the pocket and a willingness to escape when necessary. He has a good arm and he’s a guy we think could take the next step in 2025.
