We’ve gotten to the point at Prep Redzone where we’re often ahead of colleges in recognizing prospect talent. NC Central continues to be ahead of the curve, however, and got in early with Isaiah, who has been outstanding in 2026. He’s a strong cover corner who can blanket receivers and has more than held his own against a few FBS commits so far this season.
Isaiah isn’t the biggest corner, but his strength is clear on film. You’ll see him routinely take on bigger receivers, make tackles in the open field, and shut down jump balls. He has a strong backpedal, flips his hips well, and he accelerates quickly when breaking on the ball. While we think he will add some weight, his length and ball skills make him a fantastic pickup, even if he did fly a bit under the radar in 2025.
Mallard Creek brings back a massive group of veterans, but there are opportunities in the secondary. Isaiah projects as a guy who could step in at a variety of defensive positions and deliver steady, high-quality play. He’s a physical defensive back who can stop the run or match up with bigger receivers. He could be a key piece on one of 8A’s top teams.
Again, it’s hard to find sleepers on a team that returns 17 starters, but compared to his peers, Isaiah hasn’t yet gotten much recognition. He’s a long, intelligent corner who is physical at the catch point and isn’t afraid to step up and play press coverage. We think he could be a key guy at a position group that isn’t quite as experienced as the rest of the team.
