Nasir is really interesting to me. He does a bunch of things really well to make himself a pretty well rounded back. Between the tackles, he hits the hole hard, has the vision and patience to exploit any gaps in the defense, and runs through arm tackles. He also has the ability and instincts to bounce it out when there’s nothing inside, and I really like his acceleration.
I also noticed a few times on film that Nasir looks to be tripped up, but regains his balance to keep chugging along for more yardage. I would love to see him get out to some camps and really show off his entire skillset. I see that he has been getting the work in with Legacy which is a great way for him to continue to hone his craft in the receiving game, and it looks like he’s getting some defensive reps as well.

Yet another great running back at East Kentwood. Nasir is best described as an elusive back, but he also has solid contact balance and power for his size. Look at the play at 0:32- Nasir is forced to cut back, he then breaks a tackle, stumbles, jukes a man, then still manages to power through several defenders to earn extra yards. THAT is the type of effort I love to see from a smaller RB. The next play at 0:45 is pretty standard, but it still showcases his explosiveness.
Keep training, hit the weights, and Nasir could eventually be a D2 prospect.
