East Kentwood has started off hot, and in his most recent start against Byron Center, he went 13/17 for 264 yards and 3 touchdowns.

He’s poised in the pocket, he reads the field well and makes the right decision with confidence. He has great weapons around him, and understands getting the ball to his playmakers and letting them do their thing. He takes care of the ball and doesn’t put it in harms way.

If O’Connor keeps playing like this, EK will undoubtedly make a deep run in the playoffs.

Colin makes his debut in our rankings following his transfer to East Kentwood! While I haven’t gotten the chance to see him in person yet, his film shows glimpses of the talent he is bringing in to EK. His arm talent pops out right off the bat. He possesses a cannon of an arm and has the ability to attack defenses vertically. That skill alone should bode well for him as the EK offense lends itself to that play style. Mechanically, he appears more polished and efficient than others in the class. His consistency in the little things allows him to be extremely accurate. There is certainly more evaluating to be done from my side, but the physical tools and flashes on film are encouraging, and could allow him to outplay this ranking from the jump.

East Kentwood hit the jackpot with Colin! Everything that I have seen from this kid on film is impressive. His game is built around his unreal ability to scramble, buy time, keep his eyes downfield and hurt defenses as soon as they lose track of someone. He has great vision and scans the field no matter how much pressure he gets, and has the arm to sling it downfield quickly. On straight drop backs, he has a quick trigger and good base that allows him to absolutely rip it. I was already incredibly high on East Kentwood this fall, and this addition makes me even more pumped!
