As he keeps developing as a route runner and blocker, he will become everything the league looks for in a modern slot with that compact running back frame and natural movement skills that allows him to win at all four levels of the field.

He is going to make another mid major coaching staff somewhere very happy down the road as the baseline skillset is very attractive for a position becoming increasingly more valuable every new year.

Dewey caught my attention in the second half, closing out the game for the Red Raiders with a touchdown at the bottom of the third quarter. Dewey’s size and electric speed off the snap makes him hard to stop after the catch as he marched past CPA’s defense and took it all the way to the house for the touchdown.

He is likely to be limited to the slot at the next level, but he has solid size for the position and just gets open.

He has the acceleration and fluidity that makes him a slot weapon that can be used in shifts, motions, and the screen game. As he adds to his frame to deal with the physicality of the next level, he could be a strong slot option for a college program.
