Before the tournament, we put out multiple preview articles featuring some of the best players in the tourney. Owasso 2025 corner Eric Harris Eric Harris DB Owasso | 2025 State OK was on the DB Preview and after watching him in person for two days, he backed up the hype. Every time we were watching Harris this weekend, he was having a relatively easy tournament. Opponents did not challenge his side of the field or him directly very often. That’s an easy sign that a cornerback is an absolute problem for opponents. Whether it was intentional or not, Harris was never really challenged while we watched and he had a strong performance. We’re already looking forward to the next tournament to see more of the Owasso standout as he’s having an outstanding offseason.

Owasso 2025 defensive back Eric Harris Eric Harris DB Owasso | 2025 State OK will be playing for TheUNIT Platinum this weekend and that’s a team that has high expectations for winning the whole tournament. Harris brings a lockdown presence at the cornerback position and when you look at the corners this team has with their size and speed, it’s going to be tough for opposing offenses to move the ball. Harris, similar to a few other prospects on this breakdown, has seen his recruitment take off since the end of his junior season. He has a lot of momentum going right now.

Not only is Owasso cornerback Eric Harris Eric Harris DB Owasso | 2025 State OK the top ranked stock riser in this breakdown, but he made the most significant leap in the latest ranking update. Harris vaulted all the way up to #26 overall and is one of the state’s top defensive backs in the 2025 class. Harris has seen his recruitment take off and he was an instant impact player for Owasso last season after moving from Booker T Washington. Harris is a rangy corner that has absolutely excelled when he’s in man to man situations. In the last two months, Harris has seen his recruitment take off and as we get closer to spring football, that’s not going to slow down anytime soon. We’re fired up to see more of Harris in person on the 7v7 circuit, followed by school ball in May and June.

Similar to Cunningham going from Jenks to Union, fellow defensive back Eric Harris Eric Harris DB Owasso | 2025 State OK moved from Booker T Washington to Owasso and looks to be an instant impact player for the Rams on the defensive side of the ball. Owasso lost a lot of experience off of their defense to graduation so Harris is going to be able to provide a spark at the cornerback position. We got a chance to watch Harris with the Rams during their team camp and he was one of the standouts at the cornerback position. College coaches also took notice of Harris and his ability to do a variety of things in the secondary. There is simply a lot to like about his game and we think that his stock is only going to go up moving forward. There’s a lot of talent there and we’re looking forward to seeing more of it this season.
